this is a nice mental image i didn't think about until now, especially if you know the contest of the image.
It was taken in a foggy and rainy day on the shores of Garda Lake (italy).
It was completely desert, just this tree, some ducks and me.
Now thinking at this tree and imagining a solitary dancer in the fog, dancing on the lake shore, it's very suggestive.

Thank you for sharing! It sounds like a great day for inspiration with the fog and the rain. We find inspiration in the oddest places, don't we?

Yeah, even when you are immersed in desolation like this image, or sorrounded by decay and sadness.
I think i start to recognize a pattern in my photography work, even when i'm shooting animals or flowers i feel that what comes out is a sense of solitude and isolation. I don't know if it's a real thing or just a projection of my feelings.
I'm not good at judging my own work, but i thank you for your input, you made me think about it, and it's good.
