Description
This is an original, hand sculpted and hand painted dragon. This sculpture was created with wire and tinfoil support as the armature and is molded with sculpey clay and painted in acrylic paint. Each scale was layered and detailed individually or etched on. The dragon is somewhat fashioned after a Pterodactyl/Pterosaur with no obvious front limbs, but rather the wings functioning as front limbs. The Iguana was also a bit of an inspiration in this piece. A glaze was added to the snout, claws, wings, horns, eye areas and random body areas to add a natural shine.Im available for Commissions! check out my website for details about custom sculptures! Spectacular, I'm fond of the scale patterns and paint job, though in my opinion the wings need to be out a little more.
