If i can remember straightly Lady griddlebone is in the poem Growl tiger i thinks it what it is called I have the book the naming of cats and her name only appears in the song Macavita she looks good i also have the movie Good job on her

I didn't even know about Growltiger and all that until I saw fan art of some of the Lackadaisy characters as them. I've only seen the Broadway video of cats and they apparently replaced Growltiger's song with another one. -frumps-

Well, they had to, the gentleman they got to play Gus the Theater Cat was blind so they decided against doing Growltiger. But I didnt know they had replaced the song either until I got to go see the play.

They do have him in the video still, but he's only a "phantom" that Gus sees. I think the song was replace "The battle of the pups and the pom" Which I think was only done for the video...opp, my theater geek is showing.

I just wanted to say that as cute as the Pups/Pom song was, I found myself just sort of tuning it out... Gus the Theater Cat's piece always managed to bring tears to my eyes... I've only ever seen the VHS Broadway tape as well and I doubt I'll be able to afford to go see it on Broadway but I think I do remember hearing the name "Griddlebone" in the song about Macavity...
I don't know, I just wanted to mention that. I thought the man who played Gus seemed like he was blind but I didn't want to just assume so.
