River PhoenixI don't really like it, and yes I know all of the shading and the hair is harsh and looks terrible, oh well.

OMG! Do you know River's band Aleka's Attic? I ask because of the title of your picture,Across the Way is a song done by them. I love your drawing, too. What kind of pencils did you use? Oh, and also if you know where to find his music LET ME KNOW. Seriously this guy is my idol and if you haven't heard his music then you don't know what life is. LOL. 
P.S. I am totally envious of your drawing it is great, mine kind of suck if you want to check out the few of River that I have done. Sorry my post is so long.

thank you much, and yes the title is from the song. I got some Aleka's attic and other such songs he did in movies from my one friend on my ipod. I don't know where else to get it.

You do not know where she got it? I have found all kinds of torrents on the internet, but they all connect to Limewire and even when I installed it it did not work. If you do not already have these songs there are 2 songs on 2 different albums that were done as a charity for PETA and you can get the whole CD for, like, $0.03. Seriously. Thanks for taking the time to reply, though.

aw he so pretty lol, BUT constructive crit time weeee (sorry babe it gotsa be done! lol) ok so... the hand looks really outta wack and probably should have been left out cuz its not really possible to get a good perspective with how the pic has been cropped and all that so probably better to have the arm bending slightly as it leaves the page and no hand there. also the dark shaded areas on the shirt seem smacked there, almost like they dont belong there? maybe if they flowed with the wrinkles of the shirt and moved into them rather than just appearing to be layed over top of them. dont hate me!

hmm..gotta agree with ede1986....i think you did a fantastic job...i dont know why your being so hard on yourself...take your eyes off the original photo and look at the portrait you drew....really its awesome...if i wanted to look a photograph i would simply google him...

I think the hair looks really good! Don't know why you said it didn't... Hair is really shiny, so the contrast between the tones you use, should be very high... So it's perfect that way!
And I love it all!! Everything looks perfect!... I actually like your's better than the photo!
