Description
Watching my sister collecting chestnuts today. It was taken in a wood where the light was poor so I had the iso bumped up so quality isn't the best. At least it isn't blurry.Sleet is such a poser. I always end up with loads more photos of her than the others because she poses so much.

Oh I like merles but I prefer those with more of the darker colour on them...depending on what colour merle they are...Like Sleet has a lot of black. Some blue merles have hardly any black for example. I prefer those with more black patching.

What a gorgeous dog, I love her bright eyes! You did a great job capturing that "collie stare".. We have a couple of collies at the yard that love fetch. They will look at the ball like they will murder it and it's family.. Then they catch it and it's all ears back and big grins
Normally I'm not a fan of blue merle dogs, but Sleet is such a beauty I think she's changing my mind!

It sure is. Wren looks even more possessed when she does that because she has gold eyes like a wolf.

Yeah, that will be the light coming through all the green foliage above.
Sleet used to have a lot more pink on her nose. It is gradually disappearing as the black spreads but I'm not sure if she'll lose it all. It is common in merle BCs to have pink on their noses.

Thanks
I didn't need to crop this one at all. I liked it was it was.

I don't make my dogs pose for the camera. I just wait for them to strike their own pose. Takes patience but you get better photos for it. Some poses don't last long so you got to be quick...you do miss a lot though but sleet strikes a lot of good poses and stays still in them on her own accord so she's easy to photograph.

Aww... She's gorgeous.
I could NEVER get a shot like this of my dog. (I've been lucky to get one semi-decent one in the three years I've had her. Usually she runs all over the place or just rolls onto her back. )
Nicely done. She has a very thoughtful face.

This was a quick grab shot because she didn't stay like this for long.
She was thinking "is she going to throw whatever she's picking up?".
