Been meaning to post up a pic of a Faide in anthro form, so hey, guess my babe Emett fits the bill perfectly :u

Tbh Emett primarily stays in his humanoid form. He was raised amongst humans and lives with them currently, so his 'natural' feral form just feels...well, rather foreign to him. Not to mention the fact that he -really- enjoys having hands, haha. //Another good reason would be that the ghost activity around him tends to die down a bit when he's in his humanoid form since most of his magic goes to sustaining that shape, but he'd never admit it out loud.

Anyway, yeah, Faides generally have two or three different forms they can shift into. The feral is their basic state that they hatch into, but once they've accumulated a good enough magic supply they can morph themselves into an anthro or humanoid shape as well. As to how "human" the humanoid shape is actually varies pretty heavily on the individual Faide. Some Faide are adept enough to completely mask any non-human traits and can pass perfectly as a human..save for the air holes around their necks and down their sides. Other Faides may not care so much about blending in with human society and may choose to keep particular favored traits, such as hooves or horns, but usually this isn't so intentional. In Emett's case, his nonhuman features (the feet, ears, eyes, fangs, and odd skintone) aren't so much intentional as they are an indication of his inability to properly control his magic

Faides may adopt an anthro shape over a humanoid one for a variety of reasons, but most of them boil down to general personal preference. Some Faide simply prefer the feeling of soft fur over squishy human skin, others just feel that human noses look stupid and they aren't about that life. Whatever the reasons, Faide are generally easily able to swap between whatever form they feel the most comfortable in, as long as their magic supply holds out!
