Description I sit indoors at the computer, working on chemistry.
“Making observations and inferences about the products of each experiment enabled the experimenter to determine the specific outcome of each physical or chemical change.”
In other words, the person watched and figured out what happened.

I’m tired right now. I’ve been up since six in the morning, working on homework and schoolwork. My breaks include biking to or from school, and spending thirty minutes after school talking with a friend. It’s seven at night now, and I am sick of doing homework, especially the mind numbing sort. I want to go write music; I’m in the middle of an arrangement of an Irish piece I’ve played lately, and I’m really excited about it. But I can’t today. It’s going to take a long time to finish this chemistry homework, and after that I have to write a speech for public speaking, finish my Spanish homework, and maybe work on a worksheet for English and get started on that book report. Oh, and practice my violin. Most of this is going to have to wait until tomorrow, or even until the weekend, not because I procrastinate, [though I am at this moment,] but because I don’t have the time.
I look at the chemistry homework again, then sigh and get up. Whenever I start getting frustrated, I get up and walk out the door to my backyard to look at the sky for a few moments. Today, I just push the curtain aside from the sliding glass door and lean my head against the cool glass.
A movement catches my eye; it is a shimmering hummingbird hovering above a red flower. Almost before a smile can form on my lips, it draws its slender beak from the blossom and darts over the apricot tree and out of sight. If I hadn’t gotten up at just that moment, I never would have seen it.
It too works hard; how many times must a hummingbird flap its wings per second just to stay aloft? I wonder if I too seem like a hummingbird, working endlessly in circles merely to keep myself up and headed in the right direction.
Yet for the hummingbird as well as me, there will always be another flower to reach and draw comfort from, another blossom to pollinate as I continue on my way. And at the end of each day there will come rest, as there is for all things. Now, however, there is homework to do, so I turn back to chemistry and begin again to work.

I like how you compared the humming birds busyness to the busyness of the person you're writing about. One day hopefully people will take the time to stop and actually see things.

At first i thought that this would be a sad piece but it seems I am wrong, I like this one very much.
The blossom is worth the hummingbird's efforts, and I hope that you find a blossom for all that you do.

I pray that in the craziness of each day, that you take time to enjoy the humming birds, and that they would stop by often.
