December 1st: A magical seed has begun to sprout.. will you help it grow by watering it? (comment describing you and/or your cuties watering the sprout! something special might just happen..)

December 2nd: All this water certainly helped the sapling grow! It's still tiny, though, and seems confused on what it wants to become! Why not help it decide by showing it some pictures of pine trees you can find around town? (comment with a link to any one deviation - yours or someone else's - depicting a pine tree in any form!)

December 3rd: The sapling is growing at a steady rate, and it seems to know what it wants to be now. But there seem to be some weeds popping up all around it! (comment with a creative solution to removing any and all weeds that might pop up without harming the sapling!)

December 4th: The weeds are gone now, but the sapling has started to grow sideways for some reason! (comment with a creative solution to straighten the sapling without harming it!)

December 5th: Turns out the tree was being blown sideways by fierce winds! Thanks to everyone's help, it is growing straight once more, but it's lost a lot of the needles that were growing on it! (comment with a creative solution to either help the sapling grow more needles, stop it from losing any more, and/or attach the old ones to it again!)

December 6th: Though the clouds are beginning to gather, the wind has stopped blowing so fiercely and this tree's needles are safely growing back. The nights must be long and lonely, though - why not tell this little tree a little story to cheer it up? (comment with a story - from either your own experiences or imagination - to help keep the tree company!)

December 7th: The sapling is growing at a steady rate. However, dark clouds have blocked the sun from sight! This poor sapling needs some light to grow bigger. (comment with a creative solution to providing the sapling with some sort of light source!)

December 8th: The sapling now has enough light and has grown quite a bit! But for some odd reason, the needles on its branches have faded to a dim, transparent color. Perhaps a certain familiar pigment will suffice for bringing the colors back.. (comment with an amount of CSD you would like to give up to help bring color back into the sapling's needles!)

December 9th: Well, this certainly looks like a.. colorful tree. Perhaps it would look a bit better if some lights were strung on it! The only question is which lights.. (draw - from scratch - a string of lights however you want, then upload the image to deviantART and comment with a link to it!)

December 10th: Oh? Looks like there's been a gift placed under the tree a few weeks early.. perhaps it could be given to a worthy friend. December 11th: Thanks to everyone's help, the gift found a nice home. Today, it has started to snow! The tree seems a bit cold, so perhaps it needs a blanket or two. (draw - from scratch - a blanket however you want, then upload the image to deviantART and comment with a link to it!)

December 12th: The tree is nice and warm, now covered in blankets! It also looks as if it has matured enough to be decorated, though perhaps we should wait a bit longer before adding ornaments.. how about adding some tinsel, paper chains, popcorn strings, or something else light you can think of? December 16th: A little Dinko seems to have found the tree while sniffing around for food! From the way he's sniffing ~Elephantfreak 's cookie ornament, he seems pretty hungry for treats, so why not find him something yummy looking? December 22nd: Now that all those.. *ahem* trolls are gone, we can resume our advent calendar! Now that I think about it, the tree seems awfully plain without the trolls.. but I think I know what the problem is! Look, there isn't anything on top of the tree! Normally, we put a light-up star on top, but can you think of anything better? December 23rd: The tree is looking a lot prettier with all the decorations we've added! And look, there's an egg underneath the tree! My best Christmas story would have to be from when I was probably between the ages of 5 and 7. My family decided to have our friends over for the evening. We were having fun, and it had started snowing. Well, it didn't take long, but the lights suddenly went out in the house. So we went around and lit candles everywhere. After that me, my sister, and our best friend got out the glow in the dark crayons and tried using candle light to make our drawings glow. It worked a bit, but after a close call with me, some paper, and a candle, well my mom figured it was time for us to do something else.
My mom, being the joker that she is, decided to get a jacket from the closet and then told everyone but one person at a time to come into the room so that she could show us some stars through the skylights. Well, everyone seemed to have gone and then it was my turn. I went in, laid down on the floor, looked up through the sleeve of the jacket, and the next thing I knew there was water hitting me right in the face, with my eyes open. So, I guess I did see stars.
Well, ends up that we ended up staying at our house in front of the fire the whole night with our friends staying over through what ended up being the biggest blizzard of our area's history in the past couple years. It all turned out fun, and a couple days later our neighbors had made GIANT dinosaur snowmen. These things were taller than myself at that age. We then used gum balls from our tree for the eyes and colored water to spray the dinosaurs colors.
And that was probably the most exciting Christmas season year I've had so far. *loves snow and is upset that she hasn't seen any yet this year*

Here is my Christmas story, it is from a past Christmas from a few years ago, but I still remember it and it is quite funny. Well at least I think so.
So every year my grandma will make cookies and the icing for them from scratch for the family. Well one Christmas she realized that she didn't have any vanilla extract for the cookie dough or icing that she already started making and since she was also busy cooking the Christmas dinner she couldn't go out to the drug store to get some more. So instead of getting more or seeing if she had any other type of extract, she goes and uses spiced rum for the cookies and the icing. So she bakes and ices the cookies and she added so much spiced rum to them that it was the only thing that you could taste in them. It was so bad that everyone had one cookie and then no one ever touched them for the rest of the night, the dogs wouldn't even eat them.

On November 30th, 2008, the family dog had puppies. I remember the day I got back from school, hearing the squeals as I walked through the door. My backpack dropped to the floor and I ran over to the wooden box that hadn't been there before. Inside were 7 of the cutest puppies you could possibly imagine. I think I must've squealed just as much as them when I first saw them.
It was the first litter my family had ever dealt with, so we had no experience telling the males from the females. Thus, we declared all the males to be females. And that was how they were named.
The runt was a tiny little puppy we had named Dotti. He had a heart marking on the top of his head, a brown one that stood out against the white of his coat. However, I didn't instantly fall in love with him. Not until he beame sick.
When the symptons started, we boxed in a section of their little home and moved him away from the others. He wouldn't eat or drink, and every day, the minute I got home, he was my first and only priority. The vets office became a second home. But he started getting better, and I started in on my parents, begging and pleading them to let me keep him. They said no.
But Christmas morning, as I dragged myself, bleary-eyed, into the living room, there was my mom, smiling at me in a way that only mothers can. She told me to shut my eyes, and I knew what was coming.
Open them.
And there was Dotti, his furry face almost touching mine. He had been a dog before, but now he was MY dog. And I had never felt happier.

I'm planning to visit my uncle.
My uncle, back in October, was in a bad car accident and almost died. I spend over a week out of school in his hospital helping nurses tend to him. He was in a medically induced coma for the meantime.
Back during Thanksgiving, we visited and I got to hang out with my cousins, Stormy and Sadie. He had some memory loss and it was really saddening, as he used to always pick me up as a little girl and hug me.
We're visiting him on the 25th, to spend time with his family and my own. Hopefully, he's gotten better since we last saw them.
Christmas is said to be a time of miracles, so we're visiting our family's miracle on that day, my uncle, who against all odds, lived through his car accident.
If this story doesn't count, here's another.
One Christmas, my parents took us to San Antonio to see the River Walk. We would not be able to afford it this summer, so they decided during Christmas. It was really fun.
Except for when I fell into the river and a boat had to get me out. Guess who learned to swim that summer?

Christmas is a fun time for me. A short tale from this year, please excuse the lack of grammar b/c as I don't have word right now OTL
T'is the last day of term here at my school. It is snowing heavily outside, the flakes are the size of cookies, they taste nice too. I am running around outside, catching the flakes on my tongue. out of the corner of my eye I see my friend Nicholas laughing at my idiocy. It feels amazing to think that truthfully, My Friend Nicholas. Anyways, I'm wearing a tinsel covered santa hat and look like a right prat. When we go into class, the flakes get bigger. The day whizzes by and the snow stops, the sun appears and melts it too. Then, I'm at the bus stop. This is the highlight of my day, the bus stop and the journey home. It's because I'm with Nicholas and that annoying but hilarious year 7, Declan. Today, my threats of punching Declan if he hits Nicholas fall on deaf ears, so I threaten him with the next best thing "Hit him again, and I'll hug him." Declan cringes but hits Nicholas anyways. I hug him and everyone bursts out laughing, including Nicholas. I got off the bus with a heart as light as a cloud. Its gonna be a great christmas!

Well, a few years back the "hot item" was a Wii. And of course, it was near impossible to get one. And I had said to my parents 'round October, "try to get it now, since it'll be sold out soon!"Β
Of course they didn't listen.Β
So one day, I was in the basement getting some paper towels for the kitchen, and right next to them was a box, and I could clearly see "Wii" through the bag in big blue letters.
Naturally, I freaked and told my mom. (She wasn't to happy, and accused me of snooping...)
My uncle told my mom to tell us it was his, (for my cousin Emma) and if we told her about it he'd return it and no one would play it.Β
I clammed up.Β
'Come Christmastime, we woke up and ran downstairs, opening all our presents.Β
No Wii.Β
After we open our presents in the morning, we go next door to my aunt/grandpa's house (two family home).Β
We ate breakfast, said merry Christmas and hugged people, then opened our family presents. There was this particularly large box, that said "To Auntie And Grandpa." we handed the box to them, and underneath was more wrapping, saying Β it was for two of my cousins. They proceeded to hand it to my parents, and underneath that it said to my brother and I. We opened it, and there was a brown box. Inside it was a Wii. I squealed and started crying a little (from excitement) my cousin ended up getting one too.Β
Now my DADs side of the story involved waking up at three, waiting till six, and being almost the last one allowed in. Man, when I'm a parent doing that for my kid(s), I'm going to really appreciate my dad doing that for me. <3

Umm well this isn't a particularly interesting story but every Christmas my family stay up till like 5:00am on my Wii (as I don't think the egg knows what a wii is the simplest way to put it is that it is something you can play loads of games on xDD) Anyway,last year my nan and grandad got a bit uhh.... drunk? carried away so they ended up playing boxing

Becky and Splash made their way to the tree once again. Splash trotted shortly behind Becky, almost tripping a couple times due to the steep snow. As they arrived to the christmas tree, Becky glanced up to the top of the pinetree. "Do you know what this tree needs, Splash?" Becky looked down at her Energitic Dinko, her tail wagging. "A tree twopper?" Squealed Splash, as if reading Becky's mind. "Yup." Grined Becky. She carefully slid off her bookbag into the pillowy snow. She searched through the contents of her bookbag, taking out something wrapped carefully in paper. Splash ran over to Becky as she watched her uncover the item, to find a small glass tree topper of Felicity as an angel [link] . Splash squealed with delight. "Ets so petty!" Becky smiled. "Hand made, hand painted. And you'll be putting it on the tree." Splash squealed with delight once again as Becky carefully picked up the glass figurine and Splash, walking over to the tree and handing the topper to Splash, who took it carefully in her mouth. Becky stood up on her tippy toes, carefully placing her Dinko on the highest branch she could reach to, the second highest branch. Splash carefully climbed up to the last tree branch. Balancing like a tight-rope walker as she padded slowly over to the top of the tree. Once she reached there, she carefully placed the topper on top of the tree. "Perfect!" She giggled, then carefully leaping down from branch to branch until she was safely on the ground. "Looks wonderful!" Grinned Becky. "Come on now, lets head home to get some hot chocolate." Becky and Splash walked home.
