this picture is inspired by the japanese animated movie "Tekkonkinkreet" (like mentioned )
It's a story about two streetchilds in the (very) kapitalistic Japan of the future. they have only themselve, the rest of the outside world disdained them. the older guy called "Black" (on this picture) is markedly violent and he fights with tooth and nail for his district. his innocent pal is called "White" who is the extreme contrast to Blacks character - this contrast pervades the movie. if you are interested in this movie, it's highly recommended! The design of the characters and the animations are very special and unique. it forms a close athmosphere with a very emotional sensitivity between all the grim scenes in it.

Wow thank you for the reply! That movie sounds good. I'll take a look at it if I have time. Thanks for the link as well! Now that I know your picture speaks to me more...placing things in context always gives them additional meaning.
