Description
How many children think now of running in the wild, playing in nature, breathing fresh air and listening to the whispers of the wind? This is a drawing I made last night, when i felt a little nostalgic.. It's kind of an Ode to Mother Nature who feels quite alone these days
It represents an old lonely tree left alone because the children that used to play around it just got other occupations (like Videogames, computers etc..), that's where the title came from. It's a forgotten old playground.
(No reference for this one, i never drew trees and i was quite scared about the idea but it came out okay i guess
Done with a mechanical pen+ a 5B graphite pencil in 2 hours).

I really like the concept and the outcome. even though you drew roughly speaking only a tree, a swing and alittle puppet, it still conveys very well the meaning.
and I love your comment. I often thought about this, too and it`s pretty alarming, seriously! the strict truth in it is really disturbing and if I may add, IΒ΄m always deliriously happy and relieved when I see a happy child playing in the woods or something like that..

Thank you very much for your lovely comment This drawing really means a lot to me!
It is true that the situation is really alarming, I can see it with my little brother.. Going out and playing is less fun than hanging around in front of the TV with the latest game consoles. Not only this, but too many parks/forests/gardens are also being destroyed to build up malls, towers and ugly concrete buildings!... Oh how I miss the smell of a forest after a morning rain.. *sigh*
At least I know what values to teach my children in the future

yea, itΒ΄s rather worrisome that humanity is running to break its own back...
aw your children are lucky to have you as a father! they will be thankfully rewarding, at the latest when theyΒ΄re grown. IΒ΄m quite sure about that

it's beautiful. You captured the feel of loneliness very well. It's so simple and still so powerful

This is a really thoughtful, careful, and lovely (but kind of wistful) work of art. You really did a nice job on the tree; the symbolism works very well for the idea you are conveying.

your tree tourned out great.
but the picture is little too bright and not enough contrast in it - while the tree is the main thing on the pic, it does not come to the expresion becouse of that.
if an original has more intensity an contrast, than is suitably to use photoshop to get closer to the original pic.
