Description
Wallpaper I created of a zombie cop from Resident Evil Outbreak using Photostudio 5.0.this is a colour varation here's the other version : [link]. I decided to create a back story for the cop before he became a zombie :
Alex was a rookie police officer at the Raccoon Police Department assigned to the Canine unit . A timid person by nature , he was never able to fit in with the rest of the police officers . Viewed as a coward , he was was constantly mocked and taunted by his colleague's who made his life hell . His only companion who he trusted and had a special bond with was his partner Shadow , a young Doberman who took a liking to him the moment they met . On the advent of the Viral outbreak in Raccoon City , Alex and Shadow find themselves trapped within the police department over run with undead zombies . Barricading himself in the RPD’s basement , Alex waits for rescue to arrive. He notices that patches of Shadow’s fur have shed and he has begun to act erratically . Grabbing his handgun he contemplates about ending his companion’s life but is not able to bring himself to do it . Hugging his dear friend tightly he attempts to subdue the rabid dog but he manages to break free. A flash of red blinds Alex's vision as Shadow mercilessly mauls him to death.

I love how that, even for such an old game how they made the dead Raccon city. The abandoned police roadblocks, barricaded windows and doors. Few zombie games nowadays have managed to pull off the same affect.

i know right ! i totally agree , imagine if they made a file 3 on the ps3 , the possiblities one could do in a decaying raccoon on the next gen would be limitless . also imagine the creators allowing the player to make certain choices in the game which would impact plot and the characters they come across . Now that would be magic .

I suppose, but the thing is that they've made so many games set in Raccoon city that people would be getting bored of it. But I do think it would be a good idea. I funny thing I noticed in the game cut scenes is that the city looks modern, but in-game everything, like the cars, looks old. The cut scene police cars are 98 crown victories while in game they look like 70's dodges.

lol true ,but once they take it out of raccoon the appeal of resident evil wears out , it becomes an action games as opposed to survival horror. Look at silent hill for instance, it still set in the foggy town , but the developers have found a way to make each series unique and fresh . So i think capcom should take a page out of Konami's notebook .

Thats a good point. I have heard that capcom is planning to possibly reboot the franchise. They said they want to make it more like the old ones.

They said that a new game could take 8 years to make. It might be a reboot but I'm not sure.
