Here's Bird's first set of upgrades! I'm trying a much rougher style, and I kind of like it.

Bird was wandering around in the marshes looking for Gurps. Gurps were a must to have in any prank related activity. There were so many uses for them! Bird’s favorite prank was to stick them under his fellow Wyngling’s beds and wait until the Gurps started screaming in the dead of night. However, Bird was running low on his Gurp supply after one of the adults discovered his stashes. Bird was planning a big prank involving Gurps and a cake, so he needed as many as possible. Out of the corner of his eye, Bird spotted a pair of goggles snagged in a tree branch. It was perfect! It was the perfect accessory to compliment his adventurous look. Bird waded in the mud, not caring that he’d need a bath once he got home, and snagged them. There was a tear on the back of the goggles where it snagged on the branch, but nothing a few stitches couldn't fix. The goggles were probably used by an adventurer who wore them to keep the mud from the marsh from getting in their eyes. It didn't matter to Bird,, he had a new pair of glasses to wear.
