Description While listening to the TLK soundtrack, this image came to mind during the Mufasa death scene. As I've seen the movie a kajillion times since it came to theatres back in 1994, I know every word. When Scar says, "...if it weren't for you he'd still be alive", my instant thought is "you cruel bastard! Who says that to a child??" But then I realize this is Scar, one of the best villains ever created.

And then I thought, with Simba and Mufasa out of the way, he'd be free to manipulate the lionesses as he pleases. So this is Scar trying to win Nala over with his "charm". She's not buying it...

He's eying her potential as an ally. If he can win her over, he has a young, vital and strong female that would fight for him as he gets older. And NO, there is nothing sexual about this image. I don't care for the whole Scar x Nala pairing. That and I absolutely am not, IN NO WAY, suggesting he is a pedophile. He is a vindictive manipulator, yes *that's what I love about him*. And I think if he would say such a thing to his own nephew, what would he say to an impressionable little lion cub that he's trying to win over? Would she be a potential mate in the future? Absolutely (But I'm not portraying that here either).

I made him a little chunkier on purpose. I figure this is about a year after Mufasa's death and he is still reaping the benefits of his ill-gotten gains. He's eating well...for now

I haven't drawn Scar in yeeeeeaaaarrrsssssss............

I couldn't agree more It may be more accurate in terms of real life lion behavior, but I just can't see Nala doing that.

Your right, in real lion behavior. But this is the world of The Lion King, they have a human trait,Β witch allows a lion to team up with hyenas and one to be friends with a meerkat and a warthog. So ya,,,, like you said I can't see Nala doing that, and she wouldn't.Β Β Β

Cool! I currently use Photoshop Elements 10 to draw with. I have done some 'realism' drawings of cartoons and some characters from a anime recently! You can check them out if you want.

Maybe I'll do some of the Lion King or something...
