Born into the Illuminati and raised to be the fiercest warrior they have ever known. Stronghold has no family, and was not genetically manipulated, mutated, or modified by any means what so ever. he is the product of Thousands of years of Breeding, and has the super strength to almost equal that of Star Superion. He is also nearly invulnerable. His strength is only surpassed by his extreme over confidence and arrogance. A rough and ragged tumbler and brawler, Stronghold can easily hold his own in a fight against multiple foes as well as a single powerful adversary.

Stronghold has no secret Identity, and doesn't believe that he should have to have one, but in the off chance he does want a secret identity, he still wears a mask in case he changes his mind. Though a member of the Doom Brigade, Stronghold is ultimately answerable to the Illuminati, a fact that Doctor Deathshade is aware of, though the rest of the team is not..At times what the Illuminati demand is not in the interests of the Doom Brigade as a Whole.
