Catagory: Transportation:

Well maybe not in this case.

The wreck was so old and dilapited, there was no way of
even identifying what it was.

Based on the timing-gear cover I think is correct. Here's a photo of a Chevy 235-six (truck engine, but it would be the same engine): [link]

it looks like an early 50s chevy, like a 1950-52(just guessing) judging by the straight 6 engine, the shape of the roof, and some of the body lines.

Any idea what it is?
There were no medallions or script left on it by the time
I found it.

but nevertheless, criticism time.
i really can't find wrong with the piece.
the lighting is good
maybe a little blown out in some parts (like where the light hits the bumper)
maybe a little too dark in others (in the thick of the trees)
but the primary focus is not obstructed by those

however....

i do wish that the tree wasn't there on the left though
it is so prevalent that it keeps drawing my vision away from the car
but with the skill that you seem to posess
i'm willing to bet that you just couldn't find an angle
that wasn't obscured one way or another

anyway, a great shot in all
thanks for showing us

Thanks!
I did take a bunch pix of the car, but there really wasn't a good angle to be had on the whole thing.
Not really being a photographer, and not really using any kind of
professional camera (just a Sony Cybershot), I can still make good use of good crits like yours.
Because some of the things you mentioned can be easily remedied with the use of Photoshop.

it's great that you found it helpful -
or at least that you will use it to your advantage
it makes it all worthwhile when someone uses what you have to say

have a good day my friend

henry ford didn't make it this far
neither did his car
rusted and melting back into the earth
from where it came
from where we robbed it of its precious resources
only to leave it deteriorate
in a forest full of trees
that will each outlive
this rusty automobile.

Mother Earth proves her superiority again
and reclaims what was once hers.

Great capture
Great setting
Strange thing to find in the woods
I wonder how it got there...

Wow! Thanks!
Awesome bit of poetry, and it goes so well with the picture.
Your words?
Heck, even the quote in your signature fits it perfectly!

probable... looks like it hasn't been moved at all..the engine block has just sunk down when suspension, etc. rusted away.
