Description SO I actually decided to go with 7 pages, so pages 4 and 5 are up today and the last two will be in some amount of days.

Ugh I don't like the way outer space looks, it's either too black or too starry, I can't get it between. So this and the next page are kind of drowning in black.

This is actually a very popular strategy for the game, but I skipped mentioning how expensive it is (monoliths take a while to unlock and don't come cheap, not to mention the cost of terraforming). It pays for itself pretty quickly.

Hah, so true. My main empire has 7-8 purple spice planets, all t-score 3, and I make so much money off of them. Anytime I run low on money, I go and pick up spice from all of them and easily make millions off of it.

This is why I think Spore could've been a great game. It's still one of my favorites, but there's no questioning that the gameplay itself is simplistic.

If they had pushed for complexity a little more, then the players would have more chances to come up with creative strategies like this. Of course, it's not that creative at this point since everyone knows about it, but whoever thought of it first was twistedly clever.

Yeah, the biggest mistake that Maxis made with the game was not putting more work into the civilization and space stages. In short, civ stage needs more than one type of unit, much more like a serious RTS, and the space stage needs more fleet based abilities. The fact that ai empires can send out fleets at low ranks, and that you can't even at master rank is a little bit messed up.
