I temporary removed the optional Start buttons because of a little visual bug previously reported by someone else when replacing the Windows orb with one of them (most of them appearing surrounded by an opaque white square). I will try to fix this, then I will upload an update including several 'Start' buttons and instruction about how to install them as soon as possible. ; )

Wow, I really like this theme, but I can't post pictures or do anything with a pop-up. ; ^ ; Is there something I can do to fix it?

Hmm do you have a problem with the tooltips (='bubbles') or with the smaller dialog windows? And does the cause of the problem is that you can't close them?

Mm, it's firefox?
And I'll try to upload a photo to example tumblr.
When I click the browse button, nothing opens up.
Should I try using chrome?

I'm using Firefox as my browser too, this problem may probably come from Tumblr (I almost never use this website, so I can't try).
Maybe you should try to see if it works with another browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari, for examples)... If this problem still persist, tell me if the 'browse' button is working with the default Windows theme (named 'Windows 7' in the personalization panel, also know as 'Aero'). ^_^

you're very welcome haha. ^_^
are there mac themes available or does only windows allow them?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Cappippuni In reply to xfishwings [2012-08-10 15:42:16 +0000 UTC]
Unfortunately there are only very few themes available for Mac.
There was an app named ThemePark which allowed to create your own theme but it seems that it doesn't work well with Lion (10.7) and Mountain Lion (10.8) .
I remember I already tried this app when I was using Snow Leopard (10.6), but it was quite complex to use and could cause crashes in some cases, hence probably why there are almost no themes for this system. : (
Some themes are available on Iconpaper but most of them works only with OS X Snow Leopard... : )
Most of the themes are only for Windows (Windows Style Builder is used to create customs themes for Windows 7, and hopefully for the upcoming Windows 8 in the future), but there also some very interesting visual styles for Linux-based systems (offering much more personalization possibilities than Windows, but more complex)...

wow thank you for all of that!!
that's a bummer, but maybe mac will allow for better customization in the future! ^_^
as for now, my custom icons are fine with me haha. (:
thanks again though, i really appreciate the info.

Yay thank you!
For making your own customized visual style for Windows 7 you need to use Windows Style Builder (for modifying the .msstyle file), any good graphics software (like Adobe Photoshop, Paint.NET or The GIMP, for examples), and of course lots of trials and patience! ^.^
And if you want to create a modified explorer frame (back/forward buttons, reload/stop pictograms...), you will need to use a resources editor (Restorator 2007 is a good software for this task) for opening the contents of .dll files; in this case modifying the ExplorerFrame.dll file. : )

● 'Icons': Yoritsuki
● 'Downloads', 'Homegroup' and 'Network': Longhorn Icon Pack R2
● 'Desktop': iWindows
● 'Cappippuni': Build Icons
● 'Artbook': Slicy (an application for Mac OS X. Original .png icon here )
● 'Work In Progress': (I don't remember where I found this icon, probably from an application icon. Anyway you download it here )
And finally the lollipop icon seen in the 'Computer' window came from Sweet Icons by ~Melaamory . ^_^

Ok, I couldn't find my previous comment so here's a new one, after having installed the theme successfully.
My final opinion is that you may want to test it on some common programs.
The top bar (with the minimize, quit, and resize) is too small for the text for FF, Word, and others.
Also, with Word, the whole document background is now light gray. I actually prefer that, but others may not.

Cappippuni In reply to firsts [2012-08-09 02:16:53 +0000 UTC]
Thank you!
Indeed the top frame may be too narrow when applications are maximized, but I can't modify it without breaking the whole windows frames.
About Word, I can't test this issue because I'm using the Preview version of Word 2013 which have its own window style.

Dans le panneau de config y a aussi l'ancien fond windows (bleu avec des sortes de lignes de vitesse ou de halo) qui reste sous le menu contextuel de gauche. Ca se modifie facilement ?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Cappippuni In reply to Tiamate [2012-08-09 02:24:02 +0000 UTC]
Ah!

Do you know how I can install this using windows theme installer? When I drag and drop the file to my theme folder, it only shows a black screen.

Cappippuni In reply to alerox98b [2012-08-09 02:26:06 +0000 UTC]
Hello! you need to copy all the contents located in the 'Visual Style' folder in the .zip archive (Toybox Himawari.theme, Toybox Ichigo.theme, Toybox Konkurito.theme, Toybox Shida.theme, Toybox Umi.theme, Toybox Yoru.theme, and the folder named 'Toybox' including all of its contents) to the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes directory or the theme will not work. ; )

Thank you very much!
About the desktop background, can you change it on your computer by the picture of your choice? If no, do you use Windows 7 Starter?

ParanoiaGod69 In reply to Cappippuni [2012-08-09 09:01:47 +0000 UTC]
You're very welcome~
I can set it to just one picture, but I like to have a slideshow going as my background because I have a lot of Visual Kei artists that I like.

Cappippuni In reply to ParanoiaGod69 [2012-08-09 13:56:47 +0000 UTC]
If you wish to set a slideshow of your favorites pictures, click on 'Browse', then select the folder containing the pictures you want to see in the slideshow, then click on the ' Select all' button.
And if you want to modify how often the pictures are changed, you can select a different interval in the list at the bottom of the window.
Hope this will help you... ^_________^
