Cappitron’s Short-Circuited Rant

NOTE: This rant was created before the actual show aired.
Let’s see, what have I not gossiped about in the other Fansformer art…oh! They’re making a new Transformers series, entitled Transformers Animated. It’s done by the same animation studio that does Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited…and their style definitely stains every frame.
Everything looks ugly…uglier than the face of a Turkish male prostitute who has finally given up on his dream of being an Olympic skater. It’s that ugly.
I’m actually looking forward to it.
Firstly, just to get the license away from the crazy snap-on gotta collect ‘em all Japanese; they’re finally reverting the original storylines where each episode is a standalone piece. Also, they’re bringing in some of the veteran voice actors. I pray that Shockwave still sounds like his constipated self from the original series. Despite the toyline describing Shockwave and Soundwave as conniving and conspiring, I got the exact opposite vibe from the show—they were uber loyal to Megatron, which I found endearing among the usual cartoon baddie backstabbery. And sorry transfans, no Peter Cullen (the original Optimus) or Frank Welker (the original Megatron); I wonder when Hasbro will finally get it that us nerds will geek out if they just recycle components from the original show.

NOTE: I’ve decided to make a ‘fanart mural’. When I was a kid I used to draw pictures that could be linked up sequentially when placed next to each other. Go on, print ‘em out, they should link up (probably not perfectly since scanning resizing). Or even checkout my thumbnail gallery to see them all linked up, assuming they’re all on the same row.

Well, actually I think I am. Still, sometimes Jason wants to draw straight art; it’s a little boost in artistic confidence to flex your technical muscles. Sorry kiddles, I’m still on a Transformers kick. But I tells ya, I’m giddy about how this came out. YES I drew this, I’m just as surprised as you are. I think I did Megatron proud. You may notice that Megatron is frickin’ Goliath compared to Optimus. One COULD be a Negative Nancy and claim I simply ignored scaling. Or we could be a Positive Pattie and state that, since Megatron had the power to shrink himself to the size of a handheld gun…should he not have had the opposite power?
