An illustration created for a zine dedicated to celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Lorax (2012) movie, entitled "Won't Stop Biggering: A Decade of The Once-ler". I remember when I first saw the Lorax trailer 10 years ago as a mere highschooler I was absolutely blown away by how gorgeous the movie looked. Though I never read the original book during my youth (only read it years AFTER I saw the movie), I was already charmed and I just knew The Once-ler was going to be my favorite character. I couldn't possibly imagine the impact this movie would have on the internet, even after 10 years! As much as I love drawing the Once-ler in his biggering phase, I knew when I joined the project I wanted to do a full piece to his aged design revolving around the "Let It Grow" scene at the end.

It's a dream come true to be part of this project. I was dealing with a lot of self esteem issues during the fandom's hayday so doing this is almost some weird form of closure for my past self.
