Ryan is a hardworking, analytical person who likes to think one step ahead of himself. Due to his lawful nature, he's very interested in maintaining order and structure and does his best to provide logical feedback to others whom he tries to help. Towards the few he values most, he's very sentimental and protective, putting their wellbeing at a high priority. He can be a very useful asset since he likes to view all possible angles a problem can be tackled at, and likes to solve said problems most efficiently.
After what feels like an eternity of isolation and self-analysis coupled with mental breakdown after mental breakdown, Ryan reached his absolute limit while comatose and doesn't have the strength to hold a persona or deeply rooted grudges. Aside from still being awkward and cryptic, he's usually melancholic and very tired. He's become something of a lonely chatterbox and frequently holds conversations, even when alone. He's learned the hard way to be forward and not let others make the first move. He's more honest about what's on his mind when asked, doesn't hesitate to strike first in fights, and takes things into his own hands when satisfying solutions aren't provided. That doesn't necessarily mean he isn't above lying or being hateful if someone proves they are unworthy of his trust, but it does mean he's willing to give some people a chance before shooting them down.
Though having changed so much, he's still naturally more pessimistic leaning about situations. However, he tries to see things in a positive light and attempts to reject negative thinking when it comes at him. He also still stays self-motivated and distant emotionally, even with friends. Being hollow is simply the way he's learned to protect himself. As an aftereffect of his delusional paranoid state in his coma, he has the tendency to see things that aren't quite there and constantly feels like he's being watched and scrutinized by some higher power......
Why Rebellion?:
It wasn't until he saw the darkness himself that he became truly dedicated to the cause. Now he's determined to put an end to them, not because of some want to do the right thing, but by his sheer drive to eliminate the forces he both fears and can't comprehend.
Brief History:
As a young boy, Ryan didn't really live much an exciting or tragic life. Sure, he may have at one point tried to convince his classmates of it, but his life was nothing special. He was the youngest in his large family, admiring closely the footsteps of all his elder siblings. Even when his mother left while he was a toddler, the boy didn't let it affect him. He still had his dad to keep structure and stability in their household. In time, however, the man lost his well-paying job to a false accusation and they could only afford living in the slums. Getting what they needed was not easy, but Ryan saw the sunshine through the clouds, the dream past the bleak reality. It would only be time before things would go back to normal again. Someone in his family would get a decent job and they'd all move up in life. One day it would happen!
Of course, that never happened. Not in his childhood anyway. Those hopes were quickly crushed when his father sunk deeper into depression and all Ryan's siblings choose to waste their lives away in differing, wayward paths. It left poor Ryan feeling overwhelmed with feelings of abandonment and self reliance as reality slowly ate at his optimistic spirit. He had to keep smiling, regardless of the situation. 'Things will get better,' he'd tell himself, 'but I have to do it on my own.' This mentality helped him follow through with his goals, but it changed him into a different person. The whole thing paid off in the end: he worked hard enough until he somehow made it to the doors of the Dulcet Laeta Factory. It was an achievement he'd always dreamed of... but, he never expected to be the one to attain it. The job was his greatest pride and self accomplishment, and he promised to work hard and smile bright so he could keep it...
.... but, of course, good things never last......
Coming to work at Dulcet Laeta was both his greatest dream and his worst nightmare incarnate as the realities of the establishment began to sink in. After seeing how things were run, and suffering repeated forms of assault from his co-workers, Ryan's perspective of Sweet and the factory began to crumble and fade. He developed rather bitter feelings over the childhood dream he so cherished, but... he also found the work rewarding, and as long as he could ignore the little bumps and force the sugar-coated lie down his throat, he could smile and tolerate it. He spent most his time there as assistant manager, and even made his way to manager at some point. Course, as the pressures of the rebellion came crashing in, and news about his once-dead sister were delivered to him by a co-worker he despised, Ryan's sugar-coated vision of the world began to dissolve, and he's now forced to see things as they are.

- His eyes are naturally a vibrant purple-pink. Age and stress reduced them to grey... and a genetic mishap due to bon bon overdose made them green! This man's eyes haven't stayed one color his whole life and he very much hates it.
- Speaking of which, the patches and green freckles also come from that same incident.
- Has a very scratchy voice and his breathing is very harsh. Runs out of breath very easily. Still progressively discovering side effects of his genetic mishap as they come. Has a sensitive nose. Altered sense of smell also affects taste buds. Frequent migraines. Basically his whole body is just whack and he kinda feels like he's stuck in an unfamiliar one.
- His mom is a rainbow nerd and his dad is a milk dud. He inherited his mother's candy and his dad's bad luck.
- Has good money management skills. Sometimes he can be frugal or cheap because of it..
- He has a pretty versatile scarf collection.
- He has a little robot very special to him named Speckles , who he gave to his sister.
- Aside from Speckles, he's made several robots with complex AI. Jellybean is his cleaning/roomba bot. Creamy is the robot in the vending machine. Sprinkles is his tactical fighting machine. Emmy-Em is the rebels facial recognition system. Will there probably be more? Count on it...
- ... doesn't resonate with his former goals and ideas much anymore...
