EDIT 2: I've revamped the entire chart. I also added a "pre-teen" section to be the grey area between a young cub and an older "teen" since I've been getting so many comments on it.
For example, Kovu's a bit older in LG since he and Kiara met as "younger cubs", and his voice has changed from his cub voice to his more adult voice. This happens to Simba when in the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa too, at the same stage I've listed them as. His brother Nuka, however, is always one step ahead of what Kovu and Vitani are, and we all know how stinted his mane growth is anyways..so he was a bit tricky to place but I think I got it.
A lot of this mostly has to do with their size...with how tall they are at what stages, when it came to where I put LG characters. Kiara is taller next to Simba in LG than in SP. Same for Kion. I don't think a young cub would be given responsibly of Protecting the Pridelands. It would make more sense if he was at least a Pre-Teen.
And I didn't add Zira because visually in LG they kept her the same as SP, minus the head stripe they didn't add for whatever reason...

I've made some changes such as the BG so it's easier to read the character's names. Also, I found scans of a younger Mufasa and Sarabi from a book called "Friends in Need" so I've added her and changed the pic of younger Mufasa. While there was a younger Zazu as well, I'm keeping this strickly Lions, cuz they're my favorite
I've always wanted to see a chart of how the TLK characters aged progressively though the movies. So I got bored and made this.
There was actually more thinking involved that I'd expected when it came to characters like Simba and Nuka. Also, I added Mufasa and Scar/Taka's younger selves from the book A Tale of Two Brothers. I thought about adding "beanie Nuka" to the mix, but with it just being so off model, I said forget it.
Questions, concerns, did I miss someone? I only did characters that had more than one character design. I thought about adding characters like Zira and Sarabi, but they don't change throughout the movies, so that's why they're not added.
And please, don't use this without permission. But enjoy!

I like the picture, but I'm confused about the ages of Scar, Sarabi, Simba, Nala, and Nuka.Β (I mean, by the same age as teens and adults.)
I'm sure Scar looks the same. So does Sarabi Simba, Nala, and Nuka.
I've been thinking that Simba does look like an adult when you placed the picture of him under 'Young Adult'.
And Nuka is just the same as a teen when you placed the picture of him under 'Adult'.
And I know everyone on Deviantart has been telling me about another cub named Kopa, who only appears on those 'Six New Adventures' books. (They've been saying that the cub at the end of the 1st Lion King film is Kiara, But I'm sure that the cub isn't her.)

Anyway, about the character Kopa, I've been thinking that the character should be put on your 'TLK Aging' picture here.

If you look closely, the two pictures of Nuka are very different 
As for Simba, you can also see his mane get a little longer, larger and more grown in the older he gets. I also determined where his age is based on other characters growths, that were meant to depict time change in the movies. Kinda goes that way for Nala too.. As for Sarabi, shes depicted as a teen in the book with Mufasa, where his mane is still quite small. And when she's older during Scar's rein, the eyelids under her eyes become darker too. Scar also shows some aging by the lighter white on top of his nose. They're all very subtle changes, but they're there to show they've aged since Simba was a cub.
And the reason I didn't add Kopa was because this is strictly Disney canon characters. The Six New Adventures were written by someone not affiliated with Disney, so they're only considered Semi-canon.

I think it's not quite right chart. Teen Scar, Muf and Sarabi can't be in the same age group as teen Simba (they're like 17-18 in human years and Simba is like 14-15 or something). Kion can't be in the same age group as young Simba and Kiara (he's obviously older, right in his early teens, about 13 in human years). Young Kovu is a bit older than young Kiara. Kovu in TLG is young teen (remember, he has an adult voice!). "Baby" Kion can't be in the same age group as baby Simba and Kiara - he already walks, jumps and has a red thing on his head and fully developed tail tuft (Simba and Kiara didn't have it).Β
The correct age chart should have been something like this:
newborn (Simba, Nala, Kiara) - young cub (Kion) - cub (Simba, Nala, Kiara) - older cub (Kovu, Vitani) - early teens (Kion and maybe Kovu and Vitani in TLG, Kiara in TLG, Tiifu and Zuri) - teen (Simba) - late teens (Scar, Mufasa, Sarabi) - young adult (Simba in TLK1 1/5, Kovu, Kiara, Vitani) - adult - older adult).Β
Also, I think Kiara could easily be in her late teens in the movie, just like book Scar, Muf and Sarabi. She's younger than Kovu, and I guess her first hunt is something like graduation from the high school, so she's about 17-18 in human years.Β

That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it. However, this char is my opinion. I'm not going by the equivalence of human years, because they aren't human.
I went with the category "Infant" and placed those images there because it isn't specific to "Newborn" Infant is another word for baby. While Simba and Kiara are obviously pretty new born and Kion is a little bigger, they all have their spots still, and are being depicted by Disney as being in their "Baby stage" of life.
Again, with Cub, if you want to put it into "human years" it's depicting the "Child stage" of life. Janja and a few other characters in The Lion Guard have called Kion a "cub" multiple times. The way I see it, as a lion you are either a cub or a grown lion. So while you may think Kion is a little older here than his father was at this stage, that's fine, but I'm still categorizing them as Cubs, because that's what they are, according to Disney.
Also, the voice actor that voiced Kovu as a child is no longer a child himself, so they very well couldn't bring him back to be "young Kovu" so they went with his adult voice actor so we would still recognize it as being Kovu's voice. And ya, Kovu's a bit older here now since he and Kiara met as "younger cubs" so his voice change isn't the issue. My point is, Kovu's still considered a cub, because he's not yet developed any more mane like Simba, for example, in my "Teen" category. His brother Nuka, however, is considered a teen because you can see his mane starting to travel down his back. Even in the Lion Guard.
And yes, Scar, Sarabi and Mufasa may be "older teens" here, but I wasn't going to make a whole other teen category for the same reason as I didn't with the Infants or cubs. It's a stage in life of growing. So while they're at the end of their "teen stage" and Simba's just starting, they're still all depicted as being teenagers. Same goes for Kiara as a young adult. She can be a young adult and still be younger than Kovu in the same category.
I hope you now have a better understanding of my thought process putting this chart together.

This is a great idea! Not sure if it helps, but there are a few other pieces of official art of baby Nala (from clip art, merch, etc.). I'm sure you've seen the Disney baby merch, there's some on those things too.

I know what you mean, however if you look at kovu's mane compared to Simba's, it's grown much more. When Simba's mane really starts to come in but is still shorter at the bottom (Young adult) is about the same as Kovu's when he's grown in the movie, which is why I put Kiara and Kovu there and not teens.

I don't think that's infant Kion. He seems as though he's just coming out of infancy, learning to walk. Being able to run jump and climb. So he's likely a cub. A really young cub.Β

Well I put him under infant because he's a cub in the show, and he's depicted as very young here. He still has spots on his back side. And besides, lion cubs learn to do all that a lot faster than people. ^_^
