Fun fact - this was originally meant to be much bitter and complicated drawing. But I can't draw for shit, so have this generic thing.
Original story: Vinyl was supposed to be walking down a snowy Manehatten street, enjoying her candy cane, and being Vinyl in general, until she notices Octavia's silhouette on a poster announcing Canterlot Symphony's one night performance on Hearth's Warming eve. It's all part of a story idea I've been throwing around my head, and makes much more sense there. This is how it ended up though due to my extremely limited artistic skills.

Well, I've been batting two ideas around my head, and I don't think either won. One being that Vinyl and 'Tavi had known each other in childhood, but lost contact soon after 'Tavi left for Canterlot, and Vinyl, having stumbled upon a poster promiting the Symphony's performance in Manehatten, recognized her. The other one being just Vinyl thinking "Ah, what the hell, why not" during a random stroll in a wintery evening, and meeting Octabutt that way.
As you can see, contrary to the fanon, my Octascratch stories are parents-drama free and without the stupid idea that DJs are brain damaged and only listen to dubstep.

Reminds me of a fic I once wrote. Only there, Tavi was dead and Vinyl was seeing her image everywhere. Oh well.

A word of suggestion tho, the way you've done the edge of her chin makes it look kind of like her mouth is wide open and the candy cane is just hovering there.
Maybe a tiny mouth hole would help.
