Yeah, no kidding. Not to mention they didn't even kill him right. If they really needed to kill him via the lava bath method despite his being Resident Evil's equivalent of Ridley, Ganon, Dr. Eggman, or Bowser, they should have done the following:
1. Have Wesker actually LOOK like he's being significantly affected by the lava's heat, more than just screaming in agony briefly I should mention, and ESPECIALLY so considering he was currently Uroboros-symptomatic which is extremely vulnerable to heat-based sources like fire. Specifically: They should have him actually looking like he's sinking into the lava, also being combusted in flames (think Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, and that was just from being in close proximity to lava), heck, even have him turn out like Lorenzo BelliΒ in the final battle of theΒ other Capcom gameΒ Haunting Ground whenΒ Wesker makes his last stand against Chris and the BSAAΒ if needs beΒ (ie, have his head look like a flaming skull in a similar manner to Ghost Rider). Oh, and make sure his pants were burned off since for a brief moment during his last stand you could see he was still wearing his trousers despite being waist deep in lava.
2. Make sure that when they take him out, he's as far away from a rocky shore as humanly possible to ensure that not even a single tissue fragment could land on firm ground, considering the virus memo specifically stated in both the Japanese and English versions of Umbrella Chronicles made clear that those infected with the mutant T-strain only need a single tissue strand to completely rebuild their body.
