Giving companions grenades is great. They pick the moments where you're fighting in a cramped space or there is a ton of cars around and the entire street detonates. The "Inspirational" perk never comes in more handy.

It prevents companions from harming you at level 1. Level 2 lets them not be harmed in return.

What makes the situation funnier for me is that I never use the drugs, I just sell them. Which is kind of worse when you think about it.

Bah, no matter. Sometimes I find the best gun is long distance and silent, other times it's bullet storm in their faces, headshots galore. And occasionally it's running at a baddie with a sword with "chopchopchopchop" screaming in my head like in one episode of courage the cowardly dog.

Chinese Officer swords can be found, and Revolutionary swords, and one Shiahkebab which is a flaming sword gained when helping a settler family from raiders who live in a foundry.

I recently picked up an Explosive 10mm pistol and I am very happy with it, mostly just because I have a gun which shoots mini grenades. Great for dismantling and dismembering.

I know I'm not the one to whom the question was addressed, but I figured I'd weigh in with my answer. I got my serrated robot-killing sword (General Chao's Revenge) from a nice lady named Trudy at Drumlin Diner. You have to side with and protect her during a little confrontation she's facing first, though. Can't loot it from her corpse.
