Dead-eyed as in someone who doesn't have soul behind their eyes. I'm not talking about psychopaths or evil people - I'm talking about people who are incredibly dull. Folks who seem asleep, like half their consciousness is shut off. They live and talk in cliches and don't have a real opinion about anything that isn't already dictated from their surroundings.

Wow, that basically sums up a LOT of people I know and don't know.
There are some people who I hang out with that are interesting do have opinions of their own, but occasionally succumb to the same trap of making an opinion before looking into the subject at hand(although I would rather prefer those types of people to the dead-eyed ones.)
