Description
This is Alurian Kaladon, just before he was taken for his Test of High Sorcery, and shortly thereafter (ages 14, 15, and 16)
The precocious boy got ahold of an incomplete magic scroll of Fly, finished it, and cast it on himself...then flew like a big, purple bird over Kalaman's Marketplace!
His irate grandfather had no choice but to take the boy for his Test prematurely, and Alurian passed by the skin of his teeth...literally. He lost a wisdom tooth in the Test, after he cast Fog in the tunnels and ran right into a stone wall! When he emerged, the boy had a glowing Ring of Shooting Stars on his right hand, was carrying an unhatched gold dragon egg, and his robes were bleached snow-white.
