Okay, I've updated the Tractor Beam strength and the damage for Phasers and Photon Torpedoes...!

USS Furse, NCC - 88253 is a Saber Class starship, with a smaller crew of 40 (although she has the space to carry more.)

I named this ship for Dad's destroyer in the Korean War, USS John Furse, DDR 882, 1950-1953. The Furse was a Radar picket, part of a vast task force steaming around the Mediterranean, watching the Ruskies very closely--in case they decided to join in the war in Korea via the Black Sea. Dad was PO3, in charge of the then State of the Art Radar system (mainly because the ensign above him was an idiot who never even bothered to read the instruction manual!) Every time there was a problem with the new Radar, the captain--Cmdr. John J. Becker--always called for my dad to solve the problem--and my father was only 17 years old at the time! (He had graduated High School early, but needed Grandpa's signature to join the Navy at 17.)

That's a brief history of the real USS Furse. The starship has Fast Targeting Systems, Ablative Armor, and a High-Power Tractor Beam for her patrol duties and stopping criminals on the frontier of space. I imagine they have their fair share of run-ins with Orion pirates and low-lifes similar to Harcourt Fenton Mudd! This class of ship was built for combat, and several Saber class ships took part in the Battle of Sector 001 under Jean Luc Picard in 2373.
