Description
This is a highly adaptable New Orleans Class Starship, USS Ilan Ramon. I named her for the ONLY Israeli astronaut to go into space, on the ill-fated Columbia space shuttle.

The New Orleans class is roughly half the size of a Galaxy class, with half the crew of the Enterprise-D, 500, which I reduced further to 465 due to the massive shuttlebays on Deck 4. I do believe that many of the battlemat compartments I posted for our Nova Class starship would be appropriate to use for a ship this size, as well. The smaller crew and officer quarters make sense, along with the size of the Rec Room and ship's gymnasium. Ramon has 18 decks, not counting the equipment pods.

I finally completed her stats, added Secondary Reactors and Fast Targeting Systems (in the equipment pods.) This adds to the sensors Talents, and is a logical addition. The secondary reactors add 5 units to the total ship's Power, and the Fast Targeting enable the Tactical Officer to lock on to specific systems on enemy Threat vessels, without having to worry about increasing the difficulty level to his rolls.
