Description
Call me Tingle, I completed a super-map of Hyrule and all of the other provinces Link has visited in the Legend of Zelda Series. In it, I included the Hyrule from Twilight Princess, Termina from Majora's Mask, Labrynna from Oracle of Ages, and Holodrum from Oracle of Seasons. I originally planned to include Koholint Island, but I have three reasons why I didn't:-It would've made the image much larger than it already is.
-I wouldn't be sure where to place it.
-Link's Awakening was a dream, and therefore the island was most likely a figment of Link's imagination.
Well, anyway, this took me some good time, sketching out the lines to make it fit and at the same time not to look too boxy, especially so for Holodrum and Labrynna.
Anyway, the key.
-Light Green, Border or raised structure. thin lines indicate a ledge or bridge
-Dark Green, Walkable area
-Blue, Water
-Dark brown, uncharted land.
Click download for the ridiculously huge and detailed version.
So, hmmm, Nintendo, Regi said you have plans to make an MMO for the Wii, I've got the map, now go for a Zelda MMO.
Legend of Zelda (c) Nintendo
Some locations were made up by me.

EDIT 12/17/07: I'm rather impressed by how critically acclaimed this piece is. I may end up making a physical map with terrain features, so stay tuned.

Wow, I always believed Termina was a neighboring country, rather than a parallel dimension.
Something like this I would have imagined it too, but with Ocarina of Time map than Twilight Princess.
Very nice layout.

Well, TP was the most complete map at that time so it was better to use it instead of the OOT one.

Termina's an alternate universe (seriously, why do people not know this one). Koholint was created from the dreams of the Windfish, Link merely influenced it. But it did cease to exist once the Windfish woke up and stopped dreaming.

wheres the download button? anyway, this is awesome. makes me think how tp comes after mm which is after oot. and how link went from oot hyrule to termina and tried going back to hyrule and found this different version of it with no kokiri but a village in an area like kokiri forest and stayed there and grew up there from then on into tp. cuz yaknow, his house in a tree he loves so he made a house in a tree. it just makes me think that. and that termina isnt all a ruined remnant in a different timeperiod just a messed up demensional shift to a more gritty world yaknow what i mean right?

Leaving aside the fact that alternate dimension Termina is on the map, this is pretty good. Having Holodrum and Labrynna at the same latitude was a good idea. However, I personally would have placed Labrynna to the right and Holodrum to the left. because of the way I play those games. Ages first, Seasons last. The Pirates after leaving Labrynna, crash into Samasa Desert. They're more likely to crash into it if they approach from the south-east, which would mean they travelled west from Labrynna, round a peninsula, which forces their trajectory in towards Holodrum. Presuming they crashed into the desert from a third, unidentified location, they're more likely to do that if they made a trajectory error from their starting point. If Labrynna is to the left and Holodrum to the right, the error they've made is HUGE. If you swap them around, the distance between the desert and Labrynna is a lot closer (though still pretty big).
One other thing. Your current map has the Zora migrating away from Zora's Domain (or towards Zora's Domain) across a desert or snowy mountains to create the separate populations at Zora's Hall and Zora Village. The Gorons will have to do the same to get to Rolling Ridge, although it's probably not a big deal to them. If you swapped Labrynna and Holodrum round, their migration routes are shortened and the Zora don't have to migrate through terrain that would be decidedly deadly to them.
But of course, I don't expect you to change this thing after you put so much effort into it. I see what you did and I commend you for it.

Holodrum has to be where it is so it can connect to the Lost Woords (which the author has renamed Mosh Forest for some reason).

You're wrong about some things. Termina is in a parallel world so it wouldn't show up on this map. And isn't Holodrum and Labrynna a completely different continent? Link had to use a boat to get back to Hyrule.

I can see a perfect place for the royal valley, and Mount Crenel (minish cap), Kokiri forrest (ocarina of time), world of the ocean king(Phantom Hourglass), and skyloft (skyward sword) will of course be hovering above the land with the city in the sky, New Hyrule will probably be a mountainous region to the north do to the great flood not happening too(maybe that would be the case with the ocean king's world. maybe the cobble kingdom will be there instead).

I don't care what canon says about parallel worlds, this is awesome I think the idea of the different lands from OoT, Majora's Mask, OoA and OoS being provinces in a much larger Nation of Hyrule is awesome.
I wonder what's on the other side of the Ocean?
Maybe Tamriel is over there somewhere.

This is awesome ! On a side note, I am not sure if I am correct but I believe that Termina is a parallel version of Hyrule, meaning that it doesn't exist in the same realm that Hyrule exist. Anyways ignore my zelda fanboyishness this is truly awesome

It would be amazing to see you work out the physical map, with mountains, forests and lakes, etc. I really enjoy how you made this. With the addition of the uncharted area, it makes it seem as if the Kingdom of Hyrule is just a small part of an infinitely larger world, and I had always wondered how the other areas of Hyrule (the world) would fit together. Great job!

Uh...Termina, Holodrum, and Labrynna, are not provinces, but entire worlds. Parallel worlds, yes, but different, and not connected to Hyrule, and in the case both Holodrum and Labrynna, a different Hyrule.

Orcrist90 In reply to MildManneredHero [2012-05-30 01:14:48 +0000 UTC]
That sounds like your opinion. I do not recall Nintendo ever stating anything of the such.
Termina is a land distant from Hyrule, based on its geographical features it could lie North, West or South of Hyrule proper. Labrynna is an entirely different Kingdom -- it is not parallel to Hyrule because Zelda makes a trip to both Holodrum and Labrynna in the linked-game addition to the Oracles.
Furthermore, in Ocarina of Time, it is revealed that "three golden goddesses descended on the chaos that was Hyrule," suggesting that they created only one Hyrule, and the Triforce became the providence of the world [of Hyrule]. Not to mention that the goddess Hylia paved the way for the settlement of Hyrule through Link and Zelda.
No, Termina, Holodrum and Labrynna are not "provinces," but that was the personal aesthetic of the artist, and that you should respect.

PhoenixWrightAA In reply to Orcrist90 [2012-06-18 03:49:29 +0000 UTC]
Because many of the people and creatures Link meets in Termina are almost identical in appearance to certain inhabitants of Hyrule, Termina is often thought of as a parallel world to Hyrule. This is never directly stated in the game, though the manual does call Termina a parallel world. The official Zelda website encyclopedia states that Termina was a universe created when the magic of the gods slipped through the cracks in time and space, while in game legends state that the land was created by the Four Giants. Given all of these sources, it is possible that Termina's overall universe was created parallel to Hyrule, but that the Four Giants made the land itself into the way it is seen during the events of the game.

Orcrist90 In reply to PhoenixWrightAA [2012-06-23 03:50:42 +0000 UTC]
Well, that is very interesting then, but Nintendo only complicates this by saying that the goddesses, supreme beings in their own right, did not anticipate the creation of parallel worlds when the created Hyrule; also considering that the goddesses' ultimate creation, the Triforce is described as being omnipotent and omniscient, which could only be created by a being that is both omnipotent and omniscient, and that would clearly mean that goddesses would have anticipated the creation of parallel worlds.

Hyrule, Termina, Holodrum and Labrynna are all in different worlds, so they could not be on the same map...
I said this earlier, about another map like this...
Also, one thing I think is important is that the Lost Woods should be much larger... and that is made impossible because of the Southern sea on this map... I think that is important because the Kokiri might live deeper into Lost Woods. Just my thoughts....
It is very well made though...

Very interesting. Altough a few suggestions should you ever make a more detailed map.
1: The Gerudo Desert (as seen in OoT) could fit right into this map between the Gerudo Valley and Snowpeak Ruins. (assuming you don't follow the theory that the Arbitor's Grounds and the Desert Collosus are the same.
2:When the map is rotated 90 degrees so that Death Mountain is north of Hyrule Castle it should be noted that the map of Hyrule resembles the maps of Hyrule from ALttP and OoT. This would allow (in a detailed map) the placement of all dungeons and other significant locations from TP, OoT, and ALttP since all three maps are geographically similar to each other when rotated the right way (with the exception of Zora's Domain in OoT, but we can't have everything be perfect can we).
Well that's my two cents anyway. And I apolagize for the length of this post. I offer no excuse other than that of a fan who loves The Legend of Zelda far too much.

If you can expand the map you might be able to include a possible variation of Zelda 1 and 2, having it be north of the Hyrule area (If you think of it like this, North of hyrule would probably be Death Mountain, and zelda 2 took place in the northern parts of Hyrule

The one for the Wii is reversed, because the system is right-handed (and thus would not have worked with a left-handed Link. To solve this problem, the entire game was simply mirrored.)
