Leo was left thinking over his accounter the whole next day, he all but ignored his brothers. And as soon as he the sun was down he ran off into the night. He now sat perched on top of a water tower, attempting to locate a hiding spot that a group of Vampires could possibly be hiding.
"You still won't listen to me, will you?" A familiar gruff voice said from behind him, Leo sighed but didn't turn around.
"What do you want, Raph?" He asked rudely still not turning to the vampire.
"Geez, a simple hello would suffice."
"Hello Raphael, and goodbye. I've got work to do."

Raph rolled his one eye. Walking over to Leo he plopped down next to him. " Great," Leo said flatly, still not turning to the red-clad turtle.
"What do you want?" He demanded.
"How about telling me why you insist on making your job ten times harder?" Raph said bluntly.
"And why would you care?"
"I don't, not really, just curious."

Leo sighed and turned to the emerald vampire. " I just don't trust you. Never have, and never will."
" No one ever does, you don't become the best tracker in vampire society by people trusting you. But come on, if I wanted to kill you I would have already done it by now."
Leo sighed. Seeing only one way out, "Fine. If it will get you to leave me alone, I'll go to this so-called ' vampire hideout '." Raph smiled brightly and dragged the Vampire Hunter to his feet.

" Come on Fearless, we don't have all night," Raph called as jumped down from the water tower and began running over the rooftops.
Leo rolled his eyes and took off after him. They ran leaping over rooftops for several minutes. Leo was almost ready to turn back when Raph pulled him to a stop. "Wha... What was tha-"
"Shhhh. Were here," he whispered as he hopped off the building's roof and sneaked over to a small warehouse.
Leo followed him, casting wary glances at the shadows around him. He glanced up at Raph who was sniffing the air. Raph stopped suddenly. "Shit!" He exclaimed spinning around and shoving Leo deeper into the shadows. Leo almost protested but stopped when he saw the fear in Raph's eyes.
"Raphael," a snarl sounded as two shapes approached the red-clad turtle.

Raph's only response was a low growl, that sent chills down Leo's spine. The figures stepped closer and Leo was able to catch sight of two huge hulking lion vampire's.

" Look, what we have here Jeff. It's Slash's pet, the one that ran away with the half-breed." Said the first lion said getting in Raph's face.

" Your right, Joe. The boss will be glad to have him back. I don't think he was done playing with this one yet." The other lion leered.
" You know Raphael for the ' Greatest Tracker Ever', it sure was stupid to show up here." Jeff laughed.

" You know for such an ugly face, you have surprisingly disgusting breath." Raph retorted. Leo was taken back at the voice change that had taken place in Raph and he took an involuntary step back.

Leo tensed as the large lion reached his hand back to punch Raph, but relaxed when the other vampire stopped him. " No, Jeff we can't hurt him too bad, the Boss wants him well enough to have some 'fun'. And if we're lucky the Boss will let us have a break from searching for the half-breed, since it'll starve not having anyone to care for it."

Leo watched Raph shiver, feeling sorry for the vampire. He had a feeling that he knew why he was being hunting, he was ' important ' to this Slash guy. Leo unsheathed his swords as the Joe vampire threw a punch at Raph. Raph leaped up and landed on the large vampire's arm. Then baring his fangs he dove for the lion's throat, ripping the lion's throat out. Before the other one could react Leo thrust his blade into his chest.

" Thanks," Raph said breathlessly, stepping over his victim.

" What was that all about?" Leo asked.
"I did tell you that the vampires were hunting me down. Right. "
"Why?" Leo asked with actual concern.

Raph glared at him, but his face softened when he realized Leo was genuinely worried, "I- I'll tell you later."

Leo nodded and kept silent, sheathing his sword for now. Raph grabbed his hand and led him to a hidden door down a little ways from the carnage of there fight. Letting go of Leo he slowly pushed it open and slipped inside, closely followed by his blue-clad companion. They stalked down the hallway till Raph sniffed the air pressed Leo against the wall. Peeking from behind the corner he saw two vampires about to walk by. He turned to Leo," got any shuriken?"

Leo smiled and produced two shurikens out of his cloak. Raph smiled back and took the throwing stars. Leaning around the corner he flicked his wrist and released them, hitting both vampires in the throat. Leo ran forward drawing his swords he quickly finished them off. "Nice shot," Leo said turning to Raph.

Raph smiled and shrugged. Surprised at the compliment from the Vampire Hunter. They went around the corner and continued stalking down the hall. Coming to another corner, Raph peeked around it. It was a room filled with vampires, every one of them was sitting at tables chowing down on huge bloody chunks of flesh. There was blood everywhere and what looked to be human and mutant body parts. Raph's sensitive nose caught the scent of the coppery liquid, and his head began ringing and pounding. He hissed and pulled his head back, shaking his it forcibly as he tried to get rid of the scent.
"Raph what's wrong?" Leo asked with true concern for his new friend as he also peeked around the corner, grimacing at the ghastly sight.
"The smell. . . So arousing," the red-clad turtle said fighting himself as his fangs started to grow.

Leo watched in surprise as Raph pulled a piece of jerky from his jacket pocket and popped it into his mouth.
"Okay. Okay. I'm good." He looked back at the crowd. "Alright, whats your plan Fearless Leader."

Leo looked thoughtfully at the gathered vampires. " I have some explosives, we could rig some and once we're out we could detonate them."

Raph glanced back around the corner," that will work."

Leo smiled and produced some bombs, once again from his cloak. Raph grabbed a few and turned to go into the room, but was stopped as Leo grabbed his arm. "Maybe I should do it."
"Bad idea, Leo."
"But you might get aroused by the smell again. You might just join them."
"Yeah but if you go in there, they'll know almost immediately your not a vampire. And besides, I've got my jerky."

"I am the hunter you know," Leo whined.
" And I'm the tracker. I get you're the expert at this, Leo. But there is no way we could take them all down-especially when they're all aroused like that, and even if we could. We couldn't in time before the reinforcements show up. And trust me they'll send reinforcements once they realize that we're the Vampire Hunter and Slash's most wanted. Besides if I do get attacked I'll die just like you wanted and you'll have time to escape."

The bottom of Leo's lips went down to a frown without his permission at the sound of that. Raph smirked and went around the corner. No one seemed to notice him too engulfed in their meals, as he moved around the room planting the explosives. After placing the last bomb he passed an exceptionally large stack of meat and froze, as his nose was flooded with the smell of blood. He tried moving but the coppery scent of the blood kept frozen to the spot, his nerves tingling with sensation.
Leo was whispering to him, trying to get his attention, but Raph was unable to listen. His senses completely focused on the prospect of a meal. Leonardo growled slamming his fist against the wall. Flipping his hood up he cautiously walked into the room. And to his amazement, no vampire even looked up. Once he got to Raph, he gently tapped on the emerald turtles arm whispering, "Come on, Raph. We got to go now."
"R-Right." Raph shook his head and pulled away from the tantalizing 'meal', and walked away quickly, desperate to get out of there. Leo followed but as he walked past a table he scraped his leg on a sharp bone. His leg began to bleed, scarlet drops of blood dropping to the floor. Every vampire in the room froze and slowly turned toward him. " Intruder," one shouted as all of them got up and ran after him.

" Dammit," the Vampire Hunter called as he fell to the floor in his shock.
Raphael groaned and stopped where he was at. He spun around and growled at the monsters as they descended on his friend. The emerald turtle ran in front of Leo shielding him from the monsters attack. Raph's fangs grew to an abnormal size, as he snarled at the vampires in front of him. They lept at him slashing and biting at his face. Raph was able to bat a few away before one jumped him. Raphael bucked throwing his attacker to the side. Another one attempted to jump him but he grabbed a hold of it and ripped into its neck with his fangs. He was able to kill or disable several more before, they overwhelmed him and tackled him to the floor.
Leonardo who was getting up, looked up to see Raph under a pile of vampires. Unsheathing his swords he rushed the pile, "Hey, I'm the only one who can have the pleasure of killing him."

Leo sliced and stabbed every monster until Raph was free. Leo sheathed a sword and grabbed a hold of the emerald turtle's wrist hauling him to his feet. After making sure the red-clad vampire would follow him Leo took off toward the exit.
Bursting through the front doors, Raph and Leo shoved the door closed. Leaning against it to keep the monsters from getting their way threw.
"Let's go." Leo ordered. Grabbing Raph's hand, they ran. Before the vampires could get through Leo detonated the bombs, blowing the joint. Both turtles were thrown through the air and they landed harshly a few feet away. Raphael groaned as he pushed himself up from the ground."D-Did we win?"

Leo looked up at the blazing building,"Yeah. I think we did."

They smiled at each other but there celebration was cut short after they heard police sirens coming. Both turtles took off running, when they get back to the building they had first met up on that night they stopped.
"Ok ,I have to admit that was pretty exciting." Leo said.
"Maybe we can do it again some time soon."Raph suggested.
"Heh, I wouldn't bet my life on it." Leo remarked.

"Oh and uh. . . thanks." Raph's head popped up as he looked at Leo surprised.
" Is it just me or did the all mighty and powerful Vampire Hunter just thank me, the lowly vampire."
"Don't get used to it." Raphael only response was to laugh.
"I was fun too bad this couldn't become a regular thing."

Leo frowned." So you want to become my side-kick or something?"
" Something like that."
" I might just hold you too that " he said a smile forming on his lips. Raph grinned back. "My schedule is free at night," he said before turning around and running off. Leonardo watched him leave, then turned to go home, Leo then realized he was smiling goofy.
Wait ...did I just smile. At him. Leonardo groaned, wiping the smile right off his face. He attempted to erase the night completely from his mind.
