Description
This is my (almost too late!) entry for the Dragon Age Winter Holiday contest over at the Ages of Thedas group! fav.me/dasgxk9I chose the theme 'Let it Snow' and drew my Inquisitor mage Alora Trevelyan and Cullen. This is set after the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition and the Tresspasser DLC, when I like to think they get some peaceful times to just enjoy one another's company. Alora loves the snow, so she enjoys going out for a ride with her husband.
I had a lot of fun on this, but I was kicking myself for deciding to include both a horse and a snowy forest. Still, I'm fairly happy with the way it turned out.

This is so cool! The anatomy of the two riders, the lady especially, is spot on. Love the pose as well, and the falling snow effect is just right

Oh wow! This is a wonderful contest entry (I hope you win!) the details are just fantastic- from the falling snow, to the frost on the trees, to the dragon's breath emerging from their mouths.
I like how bored the horse looks at all their giggling and flirting on his back- it's too cold for that sort of nonsense! The details on Alora and Cullen's outfits are fantastic and the poses are really well drawn, you're getting better and better!

this is really cute! just a tip though, i think you should look up some references for the bridle, also perhaps some anatomy for the horse's head. Otherwise i think the piece as a whole is super adorable :3
p.s if it's not supposed to be a western halter of course, hehe

Thanks for your comment! I did use a reference, the picture I looked at had both the horse and the bridle. I don't draw horses often so it is something I need to practice.

okey, could you link me the reference if you still have it? i'm just really curious since the bridle here has neither bit nor hackamore. It could of course just be a halter. Sorry if I'm a bit annoying i absolutely love horses and haven't been able to ride them in a couple of years now so every time i get the opportunity to talk about anything horse related i tend to become pretty annoying haha

The reference is listed in the artist's description, but here's the link fav.me/d537syj . I don't know much about horses personally, though they are beautiful and fascinating animals. Don't worry, you're not annoying!
