Ultimate Power II is Earth's second hero by that name, replacing the (almost) retired
John Sunfox III. Unlike Sunfox, who was granted powers as an adult, Tony Smith was
infused with a dominate strain of DNA from Ultyma. Ultyma is the leader of the
Galactic Union of Ultimate Powers, a peace keeping force that upholds justice and order
throughout the Milky Way. As a "child of Ultyma", Tony developed amazing abilities
as he approached puberty. While on a camping trip with the scouts, Tony encountered
a UFO. Inside was a beautiful young humanoid alien named La Shar. La Shar and
John Sunfox III, the first Ultimate Power, showed Tony the true nature of his powers. As an Ultimate Power and member of the Union. Unfortunately, La Shar was killed by a
renegade Union member before his training was completed. Sunfox delayed his retirement and Tony became his side kick. Over thirty years later, Tony is Earth's go-to
superhero. He is responsible for the creation of the Super Scouts of America, The Power
Team, the Philadelphia Assault League, The Troop, and the Assault League of Heroes.
He has sought out the young super powered individuals to put them on the right track.
The Sol Sector of space (Earth) is his domain, along with five other Ultimate Powers and
John Sunfox III and his son John IV. Like other UP's, Tony has the power of flight,
ultimate speed, strength, invulnerability, particle beam vision, and ultimate will power,
which he uses to switch his powers on and off at will.
Ultimate Power has had more than a few costumes over his long career. This is his most recent uniform along with his original.
