Well, it's part of the eye candy for most people.

But yeah, realistically, she would not stand up straight with a waist that small.

It's not only that, she wouldn't be alive if she had a waist that small. Women have organs in their body just like men. If you compress it all into that tiny x shaped area like Spielberg wanted chances are not only would her organs not function, her stomach or intestine might burst or some other important organ. You can't compress food into a space as tiny as a ball of a fist on a human and not expect horrible consequences. Arthropods might be able to pull it off but they have different body segments.

There would also be a lot of broken bones

That's true.

Then again... she IS a toon. Nothing but ink and paint. She can do anything. Toons can do anything. That's one advantage they have over humans.

Women that have waists that small send a bad ideal-body-type message to women the same way Barbie does and I do not approve of it

Are they sending a message though? Or are girls just picking up on it because they think it's legit? All I see is jut visual eye candy (no that I'm attracted to Jessica myself). I'm not seeing anything that implies girls should get a body like that so they can be appreciated.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All I'm saying is that it sexualizes anorexia and that is a serious problem. No one should WANT to become anorexic
