I came across this sprite art of an evolution for Seviper[link]
I liked the design, so I decided to draw it - v -
I made some changes to the tail blade to make it flow more smoothly on the end of the tail, I hope you don't mind.
There were some parts I wasn't too sure about, so I just drew what looked right - u -
I imagine it to be much bigger than a Seviper

Would you recommend getting a tablet that shows what you're drawing on-screen or just a standard touch tablet without a screen? (sorry if that makes no sense lol, i don't know a lot about tablets)

Well I use a standard tablet, the kind without the little screen, so I'd say they're a good choice.
I've never used the other kind, so I wouldn't know what they're like.
