This is my top three over the most used characters on DA,I did this real quick, I never draw these characters anyway.
Nr. 1 : Sonic the hedgehog – I liked the show and the games are ok, but hey what is up with all the fanart?
Nr. 2 : Random wolfes seems to be very popular, and a lot of people on DA only
does wolfes – I can understand that though, because those have a beautiful physic.
Nr. 3 : Transformers… What can I say, the film is good and I newer wached the show. The concept is cool, and I guess that is why there is a lot who does those

....Wow. Never before have I seen such a blantantly correct deviation before. Those guys are EVERYWHERE. Even though I must admit, I am guilty of drawing the transformers fandom myself. And the show is pretty bitchin' cool. Especially Generation 1, because you get to laugh at all the audio and animation screwups, and good old-fashioned cheesy scripts.

And some of the failures just make you wonder how the hell they could have even let that happen in the first place, like some of the bots' changing colors from scene to scene like some kind of giant robtic discoball. XD

That's a typical error, it also happens in other old cartoons for some reason. It's like they forgot what colour to make it and the next day they came to work they just chose a random colour.

I don't like wolves, I like foxes more, but my favorite animals are birds, especially parrots!

Thanks, the colouring is pretty standart photoshop. This is my top ten, but you are right, those are also used really much just like Dragonball.
