Louis: Ehe. Sorry. Weren't you asleep, anyway?
Lestat: So? I overslept for a year or two, this things do happens, don't they?
Yes, silly scene I figured in my mind after reading Merrick. Not a bad book, but it surely didn't thrilled me like the first ones, and I'm not very fond of the Mayfair witches. Merrick is a nice character, but, well... I felt quite indifferent to her and her whole story. And the whole thing of Louis losing his heart, his mind and his rationallity for her seemed to me quite... well, just funny.
Anyway, our regular vampires don't seem to be affect by real jealousy, a part of David. Poor David. He was so desperatly lovestruck for Merrick, and he had to face THAT all. I really felt for him, poor silly thing. Plus, that moment was so awkward I just HAD to include Lestat's reaction. ^^

hahaha i could totally see that happening... the scene in the book when merrick and louis meet, and david suddenly realizes that he's being totally ignored is so funny!! he says something like "I could as well have been babbling..." lol my favorite part in the whole book xD so cuteeeeee

Ehehe, yes, it's funny but I also think it's a bit clichΓ© or simply absurd... Besides, I'm not particullarly fond of the character of Merrick too. The whole book left me quite... well, reactionless.
Still, I can came out with nosense scenes like this one!
