Rafiqa knelt in the freezing snow, staring at the empty drift where her faithful young companion had been just moments ago.A deep, dull ache crept into her heart, as if the frost on her cloak had somehow seeped inside of her. It was an unsettling feeling, utterly new to her and yet somehow so very much older than anything she could properly remember.
The wind snapped at her scarf and she lifted her gaze to the path that lay before her.

Based on a real journey.
I've never experienced anything so gut-wrenching as when I lost my little red cloak companion just seconds into our trek through the snow. They sat down and vanished right before my eyes and I was so lost without them.
It was a very cold walk up the mountain after that.
ztraveler, I'm so glad you messaged me after all was said and done. I'm sorry we disconnected, but I'm glad you enjoyed our time together. ♥

Expressing how you feels with the use of art, show you love Journey, not only as a video game, but also as piece of art. While may say will say that Art Games are walking simulators showing off ramdon stuff, vaguely story and say that it is "Art".
Journey is Art and it does tell a story, your story, everyone who played this game has his own unique experiences and heart-rending stories to tell.
If you so inspired by art, may it be a statue, a painting, a book, a movie or even a video game, and you put you heart and soul into it than you will creat your onw piece of art.
In other words; it looks great, you got potential. Keep up the Good work.

Thaaaanks!!! I thought it was nearly impossible to find them if it wasn't stalking on the internet or something. I'm ashamed of confessing I did so and well I found my companion (my best experience with a fellow wayfarer) and still write to each other

When i finished this game with the same companion through the whole game. I cried after playing it. i have never played such a beautiful game! My companion almost died by the flying what I call "Soul suckers" i freaked out.

Luckily for me, I managed to get up the entire mountain with my companion - sticking close the entire time for fear one of us might drop dead from the cold.

Oh man...I know how this feels. At first I didn't know why they were disappearing but then after I while I figured it out, that they quit the game. It makes me sad if I went through the game with them a long ways and they do that to me. ;n; When I play the game I never leave until I complete it with my partner. ;A;

I have to say I am so glad to find I am not the only one who reacts this way when a partner disconnects after a long time together. I try to send thank you notes to people I journey with, especially when it was a great journey.

I do too, I love sending and receiving PMs from companions in Journey. It's always wonderful to know that two people have made an impact on each other within a few short hours and without any words. C:

Something similar happened to me. They didn't disconnect, they just stopped playing. It was as if they gave up, and the they faded into the mountain as their body was pushed down the hill. It truly made me feel like a lone survivor when I made it to the top.

I've had that happen many times :< weirdest time though; they disconnected I waited a second to mourn my loss, then I went to leave and woW WHAT THE HECK they were behind me chirping at me again somehow? O_O I was happy to have them back, but it was sooooo weird.

The sadest thing about it is you know you cant stop it, yet you try running around the dissolving figure, trying to keep them with you. I'm not sure if the helplessness is one of the things that make this loss so sad :<
