Description

Colin Baker always wanted to stay as the Doctor for longer that Tom Baker but only had two seasons to his name. But what if he had stayed after Trial of a Timelord and was in seasons 24-26, replacing Sylvester McCoy and giving him five seasons rather than just two? I love Sylvester McCoy as the 7th Doctor and I'm glad we have all the seasons of him we got, but Colin Baker is one of my favourite Doctor and I wish he saw the version of him we got on Big Finish like in Jubilee or Bloodtide. Maby if he has got one or two more seasons, audiences would have loved him just as much as Tom Baker or Patrick Troughton. If he was in seasons 25 & 26, we might not have gotten the chess master version of the Doctor as we did with the 7th Doctor, but I think he would have been good in season 26. I think he would have killed it with the ending of Curse of Fenric or his conversation with Ace in Ghost Light. Season 24 already felt like a 6th Doctor season to me so I think he would have slipped in there just perfectly; I also think that stories like the Happiness Patrol and the Greatest Show in the Galaxy would fit the 6th Doctor very well. As to what Ace would be like as a 6th Doctor companion, I think they would have had an excellent dynamic like Clara Oswald and the 12th Doctor except better. This could have been the chance for Colin Baker to prove himself as a truly amazing Doctor and if he had seen the show to its end, then he might have been see as one of the best Doctors, if not "thee" best Doctor of all time.
