I'm not a fan of George Lazenby but for those who are, I think they'll like this fanscription idea. Most people agree than On Her Majesty's Secret Service was a bad place for George Lazenby to start as it is basically the literary equivalent of a Marvel style comic book event story, but what if he had stared a film earlier and was introduced in You Only Live Twice. So when On Her Majesty's Secret Service comes round, audience would already be familiar with George Lazenby as Bond, and they would be more keen to see him get his revenge in Diamonds are Forever. Most people have mixed feelings about You Only Live Twice anyway, so having George Lazenby in there wouldn’t change much, however some people might be sad that Sean Connery only got four films. As to what would happen afterwords, it could go one of three ways, one: Lazenby leaves after You Only Live Twice and Sean Connery returns in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, leaving Roger Moore to debut in Diamonds are Forever, two: Lazenby does On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Diamonds are Forever, as a trilogy, and Moore debut in Live and Let Die like in our timeline, or three: Lazenby does the amount of films the produces wanted him to do and he stays until Moonraker, leaving Timothy Dalton to debut in For Your Eyes Only, giving him five films instead of just two, sadly meaning that Roger Moore never plays Bond.
