Wow, I thought I was the only one who the similarities. And you know what else? Since they never explained why Elsa was born with ice powers, I came up with this theory:

In the first part of the movie, her parents go through some books that appear to belong to the Vikings, who worshipped the Norse Gods like Thor, Odin, Loki, etc.

Elsa's family is Norwegian, who're also Vikings back then. Loki was originally from Jotunheim, the frost giants.

I think Elsa's ancestors were of Jotunheim, and she has inherited their powers.
