This is absolutely amazing! If you're okay with it I would like to base my costume for the 2015 Comic Con on your artwork

Guys, we guys haveΒ to stick together.Β Otherwise, women, such as this one, will skin us alive.Β If not literally, then at least figuratively.Β
Β
When someone likes this steps out of the shadows, you have at most a second or two to react to her presence and size her up.Β You need to be observant of her body language, because it will provide important clues as to how she is likely to fight.Β (But keep an open mind, because we all know women can change their minds at the drop of a hat.Β Or the drop of one's guard!)
Β
Take this assassin for example.Β Clearly she knows the advantage of striking fear into an opponent.Β She approaches steadily and if you panic, she will have no qualms of dispatching you with a stab to the back as you flee.Β So first rule is, "Don't Panic!"
Β
(Well, that is actually the second rule, and it comes from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.Β The First Rule is, "Nobody talks about Fight Club", but somehow that does not seem especially relevant at the moment.)
Β
If you have trouble keeping your cool, observe she is hiding her eyes.Β So she does not want you to read her own emotions, and it could be she is a little nervous herself.Β She is not going to panic, but sometimes an excess of adrenaline can make one jittery, and that will make her susceptible to feints and jukes.
Β
The next thing to observe is how she is holding her arms. Straight.Β Now, some of that is for display, since as we pointed out earlier, she wants you to experience fear.Β But I think it is a clue that she prefers sweeping, slashing movements of wide arc, rather that jabs or thrusts with her arms.Β Likely, she will use sweeping arcs to divert your attention, and the first centered movements at you will be a kick to the testicles.Β (I can't see her footwear, but I bet it comes to a point.)
Β
She will likely throw her hood back, but I doubt she will waste time removing her cloak.Β So I think she will have a preference for spinning moves.Β For example, a spin-heel back-kick. Her cloak will be like a matador's cape.Β Don't let your eyes follow the cloak.Β Follow where her foot will be when she spins.Β She will be aiming for your head or your solar plexus on a spin-kick.Β If you guess correctly which, you have a good chance of catching her heel and throwing her on her back.Β
Β
It goes without saying that you prefer to take her alive, but it the fight lasts for more than a minute, screw that and go for the kill.Β

You have put a LOT of thought into this thing and I appreciate that. You kind of make me wanna go back and fix the damn image up, but I don't think I have the original anymore, since I wasn't home when I made this... Oh well.

What is there to fix?Β I think the picture is d-mn near perfect!Β
Β
(I am aware from reading others' comments that there is some skepticism as to this assassin's deadliness, effectiveness, etc.Β They are entitled to their opinion, but don't let them discourage you. I think this is a GREAT picture.)
Β
Uh, I actually did not put a lot of thought into my comment.Β I went off on a rant, and typed it down as fast as it came out.
Β
For those who do not see this picture as realistic, please interpret this art as metaphor.Β The woman in the picture is displaying, in figurative terms, the usual reaction a woman has when I ask her out on a date!Β

Fix it visually I mean, there are some shadows and weird perspective mistakes, some minor stuff that would be nice to correct.

NO offense. But seriously why would an Assassin leave there cleavage open. its begging to be shot.Β

They wouldn't. They would also not wear a hood as it greatly impairs vision, also wouldn't wear all those weapons for everyone to see, and so and so forth. There's no logic there, so don't look for it
π: 0 β©: 1
russellcattle In reply to captdiablo [2014-02-09 02:43:53 +0000 UTC]
No logic?Β I must respectfully offer a dissenting opinion.
Β
If her opponent is a straight male, a moment's distraction caused by her breasts is all the opening she needs to prevail, if she is quick enough.Β And I think she is.
Β
Nothing says she has to keep her hood on once things commence in earnest.Β

The design is really interesting and drawn well too!
but I can't help but notice that an open chest is not the most practical, of course its a video game design,
but it will be quite a target, a bullseye perhaps.
other than that, nicely done^^

I don't think that any designs in the AC games were practical in any way, the hood for instance greatly impairs vision and just wouldn't stay on when running around, the long costumes would just get in the way when fighting and climbing, so I really had no reason to do anything practical, it was just for looks

Great costume design. But I think in this suit, it is difficult to pass unnoticed through the streets of present day

captdiablo In reply to BulletSD [2011-09-14 12:18:30 +0000 UTC]
True, realism also wasn't the purpose of this. Not like Ezio's outfit makes any kind of sense btw... Even Altair's costume is a bit of a stretch considering he's wearing a sword and many throwing knives on the outside of his outfit, but at least it made some kind of sense because it was similar to the monks' white robes.
At any rate, there's no point in seeking realism in video game characters, cuz you know, there is none.

BulletSD In reply to captdiablo [2011-09-14 13:16:40 +0000 UTC]
I agree with you about realism in games. But at the time of the Altair and Ezio carry a sword or armor was not so unusual, don't you think?

captdiablo In reply to BulletSD [2011-09-14 15:51:29 +0000 UTC]
Well that may be true, but the way Ezio looks, it would be still freakin impossible to blend in.
