it would have worked and kurosaki would not have come close to dieing but ichigo is a danger junkie and he needed his new power up why think when you can stab it with a sword! and talk about peoples motivation i guess

Yeah it looks ridiculous but the idea was good, Uryuu was able to channel at that energy, the problem was Ichigo and his stupidity to control his reiatsu (and I love my Ichi but let's be honest, LOL! XD)
