"Good idea." Brian said with relief. He was starting to wonder what to do next. It made sense that she would initiate. Just as when you buy a new phone, and have to go through initialization, he now had to go through that with her.

Makenzie pulled up a chair next to Brian's office chair and took a seat, then Brian took his place next to her. He was amazed at how 'professional' she looked. of course, what did he expect? These units are top of the line models meant for anything from corporate to 'recreational' use, with the proper protocols activated, of course.

The questions she asked were direct and to the point, and covered everything from what internet browser and engineering apps he preferred to how he likes his coffee in the morning and his favorite restaurants. It seemed only minutes had passed, mainly because of her professional and polite demeanor, but when she said she had enough information for now, he was surprised to see that several hours had elapsed.

"It's starting to get late." Makenzie said matter-of-factly. "It's getting close to shift end, and I'm sure you're tired from the stress of meeting me."

"Yes, you're right, on both counts."

"Let me grab my equipment case, the things I need to set up home base, and then we can leave."

Brian was somewhat taken aback by her direct approach, but he knew deep down she was correct. He also was starting to get a sense that this arrangement was going to be a very productive one, for himself and the corporation combined...
