    Wand pups are the force behind magical girls, they are their wand and also a part of their magic. They are a close and dear companions to their designated person, and will stick by them till the end, no matter what happens. When a magical girl reaches to the point in their training to be able to control a wand, they go and pick out a wand pup, but not just any wand up. A want pup that balances them. If a magic girl is impulsive and hard headed, their matching wand pup would be a calm and level headed. It is crucial for a magic girl and their wand pup to be in balance with each other, since being over in any direction would lead to problems. Magic is most powerful when both sides, magical girl and wand pup, reach an equilibrium.

    There are good and bad magic girls, but there is no true bad wand pups. Wand pups are good by nature, though they can be corrupted by their magic girl partner. A wand pup’s collar shows their magic girls nature. If good, the collar stays white/off white. If bad, the collar darkens, most of the time turning varies shades of greys. There has never been a true black collar.

    All wand pups with magic girls have a collar. The collar is put on them by their magic girl, forming the bond between the two. A magic girl can activate their wand pup by either training them with a voice command, or touching the crystal on their collar. Once activated, wand pups are engulfed in a bright light along with their magic girl. The concealers around their wand tail come to form the wand and also a part of the magic girl’s attire. At this point both magic girl and wand pup are one, thus both feel each other’s emotions. If one is hurt, the other will know. To bring the wand pup back to its original form, most magic girls have the voice command that thanks their wand pups for their service such as “Good pup” or just plain “Thank you”.
