Any chance you'll show this with a container-less perspectives? I'd like to know/see more about the connections and insets of the hub.

What Program do you use to create these great works? If it is MS paint how do you get the containers turned to put them in to the 40 degrees positions on this station?Β

Yup, it's MS Paint (XP version). No turning. I had to draw them at the angle.

Captain,
I love your work both in Quality and Quantity.
You should try getting the program (free)Β IrfanView 64. you can rotate drawings degree by degree to get the drawing to the wanted orientation.
Also, the Franz Joseph Tech Manual had a scale on the drawings/Β I made a scale using my best approximation for my drawings.Β Do You have a scale for yours?

Thanks!
Not technically. When I drew my first ship (14 years ago), I just drew it, hoping that it was in scale with itself. Everything after that, it was mostly eyeballing, knowing what the size difference was. Someone did figure out my scaling, but I can't remember what it was, or who did it.
It does help having "parts sheets", as Starfleet ships (pre TNG) tend to use standardized parts.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the SB-M1... is this a land base or star base?
...and don't say "it's a tabletop base" cause I will hurt you
It's really cool and well designed anyway...

Starbase, is the most apt. But it's meant as a quickly assembled temporary base. Used when a full sized base isn't needed or as a place holder till a full base (battle station / space dock) can be built.

And if you want it to survive, you need to pin down any enemy fleets in the area till you can upgrade it to a battle station, at least in Federation & Empire. Nice job by the way, very true to the old style design.

Yeah...Lot of crossover with SFB and F&E.
Thanks...I had the tug containers sitting around with nothing to do.
