The Nyssa Class Medical Frigate is another design by me.This is the first true medical ship to be fully combat capable. The reasoning behind this class, is "Because sometimes, the 'Angel of Mercy' carries a sword".
Built to punch through the lines to rescue those under her charge. Captain J.B. Shade, the Starfleet Engineer who headed the project, was quoted as saying "This is one doctor's companion you don't want to piss off."

I consider her, more a sister-ship to the Black Orchid. Though, the original hull, is a modified Miranda/Avenger hull. So I suppose, a 1st cousin-ship.

not sure a medical ship needs weapons, but hey they might need them near the borders

Though, she can be used at other times, she's primarily built for use in combat zones.
Think along the lines of a Vietnam era medical Huey. Shoot your way in, get wounded, shoot your way back out.

Not sure why you're telling me this here, and not of my Falcon pic, or in a PM....But I got all my sources from books and screen caps. However, I don't draw "Star Wars", anymore (not counting Trek crossovers). And haven't for nearly 7 years.
