Description Another photo taken on one of the Buddhist Temples in Chinatown on Singapore. I was raised Roman Catholic, school was based on fear and punishment so much so I chose the path of atheism. I have to say though that any Buddhist building I have ever visited fills me with serenity and peace, life is much calmer and for those brief moments makes more sense. Maybe I should explore further, at least with the camera!
Thank you for viewing it really is appreciated.

You are very right about Catholic upbringing dear Simon….. that
happened to me as well…. I would say I am now an agnostic...
This is a beautiful capture and these temples do also bring me
peace and serenity….

Thank you Teresa, really quite interesting how many of us out there had such an experience that unknowingly really shaped us greatly for the rest of our lives. I am all for supporting anyone's religious beliefs but have to question one when it appears to me now with hindsight that's its indoctrination came on the end of a bamboo cane, I don't believe there's any all knowing all seeing person out there that would want that to occur in their name. Maybe that's why I have been drawn to photography as a pseudo religion! As for me I seek to capture the beauty of the world around us, not always successfully but for me there's the thought of its creation but also the sense of calm and tranquillity and being at one with something far bigger than me when I press the shutter!!
That's all a bit deep for me!!

Yes… there are many of us I am sure…. forcing people
never works anyway….... and abusing them at the
same time….
Photography can work as a religion since you see the beauty
created around you dear Simon...
Totally agree….
