Yet another photograph from my time in Cumbria, and again its Wastwater, in the Wasdale Valley, West Cumbria. I know it looks as if I never went anywhere else than here, but I did!! But when I look back through my photos even I am beginning to wonder!!Thank you so much for viewing this work.

This is such a stunning shot, the colours are fantastic and the composition is wonderful with the stones in the foreground leading the eye back to the hills/mountains. Also the stillness of the reflection is amazing.

The mountains are beautiful and I love how the clear water reflects the sky filled clouds and the different rustic colors found on the mountains!

thanks so much my friend and i do indeed, and your commenting on it!! But I bet you had worked that out already!! windermere, coniston etc are beautiful places, so full of tourists though, and in places extremely commercial. the Western lake district area, includes ennerdale Lake and Wastwater Lake amongst others. the jewel of the lakes for me is Wastwater, getting more popular but its still possible to wonder the fells there all day and not meet a soul. and the landscape has an almost untouched feel to it. Its paradise for me, and recommend you get up there!!

thank you for those kind words and yes I agree the wasdale valley can look stark and harsh, yet for me thats half the fascination and love of the place, its almost untouched feel
