I like the movement in the picture, with the tail swaying softly and the feathers that came out of the Spinxes wing, and the paw "moving" slowly.

And here I thought the Greek sphinxes were all female, but it seems I was wrong.
Neat idea to use all shades of brown seen in old photographs, I also like the yellow glint in the sphinx's eyes.
