Description
For the James and the Giant Peach contest.So there is no giant fruit in my imagined world. Perhaps I have failed as an artist. Mostly I think I would just hang out in the woods with monsters and beasties and we would tell each other stories and make art.
Also there would be a crazy wizard who would do puppet shows.

That wizard has a butt reminiscent of my 6th grade math teacher. For a cast of monsters this is super cute. I love the expression you have on your face. I would have tried to go with a more uniformed cel-shading. It seems like in some places (the books) there's no shading at all, just drop shadows. Congratulations on making it to the semi-finals!

XD Omg that cracks me up. Yes I became tired of shading after awhile so I just made the books darker shades in the hopes that it would look like they were just "enshadowed". I guess it didn't work. :/ Would it look better if I made the top magenta book with just a bit of brighter light?

Yeah just a highlight on the top edge would be good but not too bright. It wouldn't stand out too much then. Or maybe a darker shade to the left cover of the book. The rest of the books are fine as they are but I guess just the size and prominence that book has requires a little more detail.
